My nan drove one of these till she was about 75, I wish I was old enough to know about cars when she sold it. I would have bought it in a heart beat. Lots of awesome memories driving around with my grandparents in the back of one of these
@@LucidMultimedia You guys are top shelf, I'm slowly doing up my VF R8 and live in Perth. When it's done would be honoured if you guys would make a vid on it, Respect
Hey bro stumbled upon your vid on fb, real smooth camera work! Would you mind telling your specs and equipment? Kinda want to do similar stuff down the track and wanna know what I’m getting into :)
Amazing what Holden achieved considering it's literally a stretched Holden Kingswood, which was a fairly basic family sedan here in Australia. In terms of how it drives down the road, out of curiosity, how do you think it compares with your lovely Silver Shadows?

Good looking & sounding cars like this aren’t made any more
What a beauty. And that sound..! 🤤
Nice Statesman there, and the '57 reminds me of the one in 'Running on Empty'.
It does too!
You never know when you're going to have to work on it so keep the least amount of fuel in it lol
Nice car, sound and videography 👏👏👏

I am a true blue ford man

Wheels ? Pls
What wheels are on the Statesman?
I have a constantia and need some body Spares for it ..eg bidding... inside door openers... badges and the words constantia
😘😘
Can anyone provide any history on the Statesman? I see it's right hand drive so wasn't meant for the US market even though it's a substantial size.
Longer wheelbase version of the Holdens at the time to compete with Ford's fairlane? I think.
It was Australia's luxury car built by Holden's, basically our version of a Caddy.

The mud flaps make it look like an old mans car.
I got the same car but gotta wait for my Nan to pass then I get it
Australian Muscle 👊👊🔥
💪
All good apart from the steering wheels and the music. Just let us hear the exhaust, it's the best thing about it.
Music pls?
AC/DC Style Backing Track in A - Richard W
What engine does it have?
Looks like a VN headed 308, sounds like a stroker.
355 stroker 💪
Back off chevy! Im sorry but the statesman stole the show 😍
Hey, i have one of these on my channel or atleast i think they are the same
Great example. Remove the mudflaps and run some original wheels & whitewalls and it would be perfect!
They never came out with Whitewall tyre's on them ?
Is this for sale yet 😂😂
Had one early 80s feels to drive like a Mercedes 450 SE
Gotta fix that sagging front bumper.
Not o'sea's
