Your uncle was young, he was 6 years younger than me. Being a younger age really hurts a bit more. The loss can be greater and felt much more for so many reasons. Lawson's advice about not crunching up on the steering wheel is so important for safety, so way to go, LB!😊 There are other aspects as well to sitting and safety while driving, but an easy way I check to be sure I'm not sitting too close is I extend my arms straight in front of me and as long as my wrists are not past the steering wheel, I'm a safe distance away. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says, "10 or more inches is the appropriate distance between a driver and their steering wheel." It may feel awkward at first, Addalee, but the sooner you start, the sooner it will feel comfortable!😘
