Some other tips: -When invisible, if you crouch and wait a little, the Predator will turn completly invisible(you also gain XP when a player pass through you) -Hold the crouch buttom when you are about to land, the Predator will make less noise(this doesn't work on trees) -Don't change your thermal vision on and off too often, it makes alot of noise and also make the Predator's eyes to flash -You can destroy ammo and health packs in the camps, making things harder to the fire team -Charge your plasma caster while aiming at some place that will not give away your position, and then quickly move the laser toward your target
I lost myself a few times running my imagination in the trees taunting the soldiers I felt like I was a kid again watching the original film! I feel like the game is too fast and it would be more fun if the matches were slowed down with both parties health taking longer to go down , making for a more intense back and forth battle experience!

Play it safe and play it smart. Until you get the Combi-Stick. That's when shit gets REALLY fun. I got the spear and went from "kill one and maybe another with the self-destruct" to "jumping in and wiping an entire team in seconds". The Combi-Stick is stupidly good.
@@kennyk1972 My original comment was made ages ago back when the Combi-stick was stupid overpowered. I know it's not as good nowadays. These days I tend to play Samurai for hit-n-run with some one on one combat, or the Viking for charging in to slaughter.
Use the cloak to ambush. When I crouched in bushes and was completely still, players have walked right by and did not see me. It was just simple matter then of running up behind them and downing with the spear.
They need more perks, the predator should have ways to lock on with his gun for a burst of high damage but like completely destroys the amount of energy he has, also I understand why the predator makes noise in the movies, it’s to scare the prey, but in a game it’s just annoying and let’s play know where he is, it makes playing him slightly annoying Also I learned this from Cartoonz, if you crouch and don’t move while cloaked, you got completely invisible, in his video a person literally walks into him and moves around him, not realizing it was an invisible predator that was moving
I got jump scared by a predator who didnt move and i walked passed and it attacked decloaked so i went in a private match to test and if you dont move and not have your thermal on (leaves yellow eyes ) you cant see at all
Oshura that’s why it’s based on the player to either hunt or be hunted when I was the predator I usually kept my distance and try other ways to get to them quietly not just through the trees
I learned to use the trees to get my bearings and observe the prey but I stopped attacking out of the trees. I also stopped using the plasma caster because it just gave away my position every time. I just used the net and spear.
I use hit and run tactics. I'll go in and wear em down several times get em all scared. I'll also look gor straggling firetema members who are separated from their team and go after them. I also try and follow runaways bc they call in reinforcements too.
The shoulder cannon is a lot more powerful than you might think, charge that thing up and it can be deadly. Catch someone in a bear trap and it's an easy down, leave them alive if they dont have any cover to try and bait out their team to revive them and slaughter them
a little tip from a fellow guide maker...smart disc can double hit if you cancel the flight after you cut through a player (takes some time to get the hang of it but you can practice on the vip guy at the end of the tutorial)
I love this game. However, I'm a little nervous that it will devolve into the Predator M1 spamming the fireteam down with his combistick EVERY match. That will get boring quickly.
No he isn t they learned to parry it then start spamming knife attacks and take a quarter of your health per hit and all four hit you so your dead instantly fireteam is too overpowered
I know I needed this man It seems that they want you to learn how to BE the *_Predator_* and make you a much better player in general. I have no doubt that this occurs if you don't give up on the Yautja. It may not be fun dying at first but even in the Predator clan , better weaponry needs to be earned through slaying dangerous foes and living to tell the tale. Should say something about the skill level of the jungle hunter and the city hunter in being able to dispatch almost a whole team single-handedly. Once I unlocked the bow, the stick, and the berserker class I rarely lost a match. I like this game as the Predator. Fire team is just your average fps.
I was having a hard time playing the predator but once I got the combistick, omg I'm wrecking fireteams left and right. Been wiping out entire fireteams every match. I'm playing as the berserker.
Charging plasma caster is vital it can one shot when fully charged. Also most teams will try and save a downed teammate so that is a good time to add additional pressure if possible.

It really is used based on how you play it out with the way the results will come out I really enjoyed the game and can’t wait till it is fully released
Every game I've played the predator gets destroyed within 5mins, me being the predator or playing against a predator, predator is weak af. 1. Plasmer caster is weak and you get shot by and it does like 5 damage. 2.melee is crap you have to hit a fireteam member like 10 times before they die. 3.You take damage while in a healing animation and if the fire team find you that's it because you can't get out of the animation. Fix this broke ass game
The reason Predator is weaker is because the main complaint for Friday the 13th was that Jason was damn near unstoppable. People bitched so hard that in order to kill Jason you had to go through like 10 steps. So they made Predator a bit easier. However if you play Predator like Predator it's much harder to kill you. Dont just run in, actually hunt your enemy. Let them go for the objective. Use your plasma caster to split the team. Your worst enemy is a Fireteam that actually plays as a team. Use bear traps, the plasma caster, etc to force them to split up and then go in for your kills. Play as if you actually are the Predator. If you watch the movie he rarely goes in for group kills. He splits the team up.
@@mulder19x95 I play like that I stay in the trees and use the caster then go down with the combi stick after I've weakened them, too bad that predator is glitchy as all hell you can be walking on a branch then all of a sudden you are on the floor and can't move because it still says you are on a branch or you can suddenly float to the top of a tree
The messed up thing about this game is. You need strategy patience to level up and be cautious as predator. As if you’re the one being hunted. The fire team are supposed to be the weak ones that need strategy and team. The predator is the hunter, but it seems like the fire team are the hunters in this game
I disnt get to play much of the demo cuz of having to work so I didnt get much practice, didnt even learn how to use cloak but when the full game launches hopefully I'll get to learn it alot more.
Until you realize the Combistick is worthless when it can be parried by a knife every time and the berserker is easily killed as well with the knife so not so easy wins after all
Cloak works better when you crouch and don't move at all. You can actually become totally invisible if you just stay still. If you're moving constantly it WONT be effective against the Fire team. Try breaking LOS and standing still. Plus with audio mimicry it can really mess with where they think you are.

I feel like the cloak works fine, you just have play smart. When you're picking a perch, find a branch with a lot of leaves on it. The foliage plus the cloak make you very tricky to spot if you're still. I think the number one thing is to just do what the Predator did in the movie. I don't remember a scene where he jumped down and tried to punch out a team of special forces guys. All the tools are there, you just have to emulate the way they hunt in the movies.

I struggle to understand the point of the progression system in this game, other than selling that sweet double xp boost to deluxe edition buyers. This should have launched with all skills available. You're basically alienating anyone not willing to play up to level 42 (which is when you unlock the spear as of launch) to fully understand and enjoy your game. This could have been such an amazing release if people could just dive in and win/lose due to loadouts and skill, not because they haven't lost enough matches to level up and start winning. Good luck recommending this game to a friend if you're a fan, "Hey come play Hunting Grounds with me, the game gets fair and skilled-based after level 42".

I'd be better at playing the Predator if I didn't have to wait 10 minutes every time I wanted to play as him. A couch co-op would be nice to at least get some practice outside the tutorial. Also, what the hell are players doing to find the Fireteam within a few minutes of starting the mission? Every time I try to track down prey I only find them 10% of the time or have to wait for the chopper to be called.
I’ve been fuckin people up as the predator. You have to choose your approach well before engaging. If you’re trying to be heavy melee bullet sponge pick the right perks for it and attack while they are all gathered. If you’re scout try to use sound traps and stay cloaked and hit from a distance trying to get them to spread out. Also use traps a lot. Bear traps specifically.
I've had no problem destroying teams as predator (first couple of games an exception due to learning) - gameplay on my channel. My tip PS4: Rebind jump (X) to R3. You'll be able to traverse the treetops much easier. Edit: Also add cycle gear to X to make switching items much faster.
Good tip down a fire team member then run away turn invisible wait for the fire team to heal each other then fully charge the plasma caster then shoot which kills the downed fire team member and insta kills the one healing them
The predator spear is to powerful! It’s range, speed, and power (damage it deals) are out of control and it needs to be dumbed down. All you need to do is have the squad team wait to accomplish a task, take cover from fire while they return fire from a building, the building are to small & cramped that the predator can easily come in and wipe the floor with the spear. This game needs some serious balancing but has lots of potential
Some other tips:

attack them when they are busy fighting off the AI. they will split up more and are easier to take out.

your second wind has a cool down it can come back. use it first. then med kits and it will be back up by the time you are out of med kits.....

You can still win without lvl up. Split them up. By have them chase you n go around them n then attack from behind

If you throw the spear you have to pick it up and the disk will come back to you automatically if you don't hit anything besides people
