Although the tragic loss occurred two years ago, the pain must be as excruciating as it was at the time, for we sure would never think of losing a son in such circumstances. May he rest in peace everlastingly! I praise both Canada and the USA for respectfully honoring your Fallen heroes. It is overwhelmingly sad, but accompanying them on their last journey is a brilliant way of paying respect to their memory. We are so boringly dull in Europe. In France, the only possible moment we can honor a Fallen is when the hearse drives along the Pont Alexandre III before entering the Invalides, and most civilians are never aware of this route...

When he was shot and murdered by a terrorist who then proceeded to attack the Ottawa Parliament building (headquaters of Canadian government).

This is in Canada, automatic daytime running lights have been in vehicles for years. You couldn't turn them off even if you wanted to. As for people pulling over, this is in rush hour, where exactly are they supposed to go?

Nathan Cirillo, a Canadian soldier and reservist on ceremonial sentry duty was fatally shot by Islamic terrorist Michael Zehalf- Bibeau." This fallen hero who was serving his country was just 24 years old and left behind a five year old son to grieve his loss. Additionally, Constable Samearn Son was also shot but survived his wounds. Years later these videos still bother me. I wish I had been the one getting the hero’s ride. Not that I want to be a hero, I don’t want to watch the others who didn’t come home to their families wondering why I can.
