Is there an alternative to DPG that is more natural that can be used? Also, is there a standard formula for making these? I have may fos and the IFRA for them varies depending on the use.
Hi there, you can try to use Dimethyl isosorbide (DMI) DMI is a clear liquid with excellent solubility properties that can be used to dissolve a wide range of ingredients. It is often used as a solvent in skincare, haircare, and fragrance products. DMI is derived from corn and is biodegradable and renewable. It is considered safe for use in cosmetics, and it has a low potential for skin irritation and sensitization. However, DMI is more expensive than DPG and may not be as versatile in terms of its solubility properties. Did you get my formula print out that I offer along with the video?
Hey I have some spices with a use by date of 2013 so it's 10 years out of date what do you recommend I do with it. Because there's still quite strong for something so out of date I just got to use more but I was thinking of adding it to some vegetable shortening and making a candle out of it.
Hi there, please do not use vegetable shortening to make a candle with. It is extremely flammable and would just be dangerous! You can use the old spices to make potpourri like I did in this video here: th-cam.com/users/shortsZ-YCV82idlY Or you can infuse them into wax melts like in this video: th-cam.com/video/akTIwV7uhQk/w-d-xo.html or you can use them to make cute wax tablets like in this video here: th-cam.com/video/crEbVSAgh04/w-d-xo.html I hope this helps and please ask any other questions you might have about the topics :)
To calculate the percentage of DPG in the final mixture, we need to know the total volume of the mixture. Assuming that the total volume is 120 ml (30 ml DPG + 90 ml fragrance), the calculation would be: Percentage of DPG = (30 ml ÷ 120 ml) x 100% = 25% Therefore, the final mixture contains 25% DPG and 75% fragrance.
No it would be very difficult to find alcohol free fragrance oil. Any fragrance oil that is used for candle making will work for this project 😄👍 please et me know if I can help with anything else

I came to ask the same thing. DPG is not non toxic.
I would think that laying the sticks on aluminum foil to dry instead of something that would absorb any of the liquid.
Yeah that's a great idea 💡 👍 thanks for sharing it with us 😃
Can you dip the sticks in the solution instead spraying?
I'm sure you can, it may just take longer to dry. If you try it, come back and let me know how it went! 😁
Thank you for this!
My pleasure 🙏🏼 I hope it was helpful to you ♡

How much Dpg oil and fregnance oil mixing ratio... () percentage
To calculate the percentage of DPG in the final mixture, we need to know the total volume of the mixture. Assuming that the total volume is 120 ml (30 ml DPG + 90 ml fragrance), the calculation would be:
Percentage of DPG = (30 ml ÷ 120 ml) x 100% = 25%

@@Candle_Making_With_Jes thank you ❤😊
@@aaravkumar8492 you are most welcome - good luck with your project!
where did you find the packaging for your incense ?
Does the fragrance oil have to be alcohol free?

how many sticks does this formula apply for?
I am pretty sure I made 100 incense sticks in this video
Let me know if I can help with anything else :)
