Good to see another Shibano game on review. Keep them Coming Dwyrin, he's our patron saint now! I agree, that moyo was way to big to defend. Shibano is still only 20, remember that he has just won 2 titles in the last 3 months and may be full of himself right now. I would be. Hell, if I had 2 championships within 1 month of turning 20, I'd be beating my chest too. That super large knight's move was the kid beating his chest, and unfortunately, he got eaten by the old lion in winter.
The wedge at 16:35 seemed pretty crazy to me. It seems like he could just kosumi at K7, make 40-50 points, and leave W with a floating group in the center. Seems like a pretty even game at that point (but I'm a kyu so idk).
Shibby is not something I imagine Japanese people would ever think of calling someone whose surname is Shibano, so I think he'd probably be super confused.
After black backs off at P4, the only move for white in AlphaGo Teach's database is the ogeima enclosure at C14. Here's how it would continue that opening: online-go.com/demo/view/430868
This is a good lesson, but I would argue there is an even more important lesson here: don't try to build a moyo in the first place perhaps? Also, while we are on the subject of moyos: what exactly defines when a shape becomes a "moyo" and when it does not? Like in this game, if you were to decrease either side of Shibanos moyo by one line at a time, at what point would you definitively say "That is no longer a moyo"?
It hurts my soul to watch a moyo crumble like that. give me influence or give me death !!

His name is hane, of course he's good!
That's it. I'm naming my next kid "Tengen" do he/she never wins a game.
There's death in the hane...
"This eighth line territory is about to drop to the third frikking line. That's depressing."
Literally depressing.

It would be great in further videos if the date of the game is indicated so we can easly find it in the database.
it was so clear really loved that video!
I wonder, though, why The Shibinator didn't already know this lesson. Did he under-appreciate Hane's invaznsklz?
Does he know you call him Shibby-Cakes? I mean... we do know you have a crush.
I call him Shibby everytime I see him playing on fox 😂
Batts eats up Shibby Cakes, but Daniel ML001 Eats up Jaffa Cakes!!

Bi and ba to Japanese people is like the difference between c and f.

But... the video title says... real board lecture...? :,(
Yeah fixed that. Released it while streaming with the wrong template.
