This is the best video on how to warp multiple threads and keeping them organized. Saw a similar technique in a Japanese craft video but could not figure out how she did the hand over on each thread. Thank you so much for sharing. Also loved your loop device on the top of the warping board.

Thanks for sharing. Had read how to do it but having the visual has really helped me understand how the thumb works. Again thanks!!!!

Thanks, Searean Moon. I am hoping to get time soon to post full warping videos to help people over the warping hurdle and get onto the fun of weaving!

I often use different colours and textures of yarn when warping up this way. Normally it will give you pairs of the one colour and they should stay in the same order as long as you do the twist right and don't drop any part of the warp as you are hooking it around the pegs.

Since this is so awesome and can apply to any warp (not just saori), I'm telling EVERYONE I know! Epic, epic, epic. Thanks for sharing!

I came here through joyofweaving.com and this warp measuring method is very impressive. Thanks so much for the share!

Does it make a difference how many threads you use? It seems that at the cross...... you might have two threads with the same orientation (ie.. two going up over a peg vs. them alternating over and under) depending if you have an even or odd number of threads. Thank you for your video......I'll be trying it soon!

I tried the technique with several colors of yarn and didn't get them to stay in order through the cross. Is this technique only useable for the same color of warp threads?

    It looks very complicated.
