The danger is always in the dosage, never the substance, or put more simply, too much of anything isn't good for you, a runner in the 2004 Boston marathon died of hyponatremia, drinking too much water. So it's true, fish do have small amounts of mercury in them due to many industries releasing it as a waste product into the ocean, but you would have to basically eat an entire predatory fish, (As they accumulate it more from eating smaller fish) every day for months to actually see any ill effects, which with mercury is pretty easy to spot, especially with thousands of people watching you almost everyday. Anyway as always you need a balanced diet, Jerma is correct however that eating burgers in the same volume would kill you much faster. While everything will kill you eventually, some things will do it faster!
