Should the dowel be loose? Or how loose? Mine is solidly glued in but still the dowel moves. I used E6000 glue instead of Gorilla Glue

As long as it vibrates you are good. It doesn’t have to be super stiff. Not sure using a different glue would matter that much.

Did you put Rosin on the dowl/stick?

I didn’t. I could try that but literally the wet rag was enough. If I was doing more solo work I might look into it.

@@pintopercussion the water method is the more authentic here in brazil, but some people use kerosene if they need to play for a long time
