Thanks for this video! My switch has been unresponsive for days and I was starting to worry I'd have to replace the battery, but it turns out all I needed to do was hold + tap the power button. I don't understand why it stopped working in the first place when I normally keep it well charged, but it's a big relief that it's working again.
Thank you very much! Holding for 20 seconds and tapping for 1 second worked like a charm! My son is thrilled!
Actually saved me, hadn't used it in about 2 months, tried switching it on but got no screen on. Did the volume buttons and power button at the same time and worked immediately. Interestingly it did seem like it was charging when I had it in for about an hour, because it was at 19% already, so it could've just been the screen itself
Really helpful either way 👍
That’s awesome to hear, glad the button combo worked!
@@GTRBytes nothing worked:(
Holding the power button for 20 seconds, releasing it and then tapping it one more time worked! Battery was actually at 99 percent. Thanks so much.
thank you this helped me!
Any data loss?

Can’t believe that worked. Tried the cleaning, didn’t work, tried the power button hold, didn’t work.
I thought ‘here we go again’… tried the volume and power and it came game to life! What the hell 😂😂😂.
Thanks dude!
Omg thank you!! All I had to do is hold the button for 20 seconds, let go; then click it once more and it finally turned on! I was about to throw away my switch, I thought it was water damaged but it was completely fine! It’s back to normal 😭 thank you so much 😭😭😭
Thats great to hear, always great to see people get back to gaming!
