It worked for me, my son came crying and told me he’s Switch won’t turn on completely dead and not responding to anything I did myself, so I follow your advice and I clean the charging port, then I plug the Nintendo cord to it for about a minute then hold the power button for about 15 seconds and came back to life, man thank you so much, you’re awesome.

I'm not sure why it does this. I just recently repaired the two side rails, meaning I had to disassemble the case and go inside. The left rail had "disconnected" itself from the mainboard. And wow, it's so small to replace. This quick fix worked for me too.

Try using a different official Nintendo Switch Power Supply. It might just be yours is failing. Sometimes with those symptoms, it could also be the battery.

Heres my case, it dropped a few times on the hard floor and when I put it into the docking station it flashes the green light but nothing plays on the switch itself, any tips?

Thanks for this video! My switch has been unresponsive for days and I was starting to worry I'd have to replace the battery, but it turns out all I needed to do was hold + tap the power button. I don't understand why it stopped working in the first place when I normally keep it well charged, but it's a big relief that it's working again.

thanks combo 2 worked the repair shop was going to charge me £50 for a look over the device i am so thankfull it worked. saved some money

Holding the power button for 20 seconds, releasing it and then tapping it one more time worked! Battery was actually at 99 percent. Thanks so much.

I was playing my switch all day and tried 3 different chargers and tried having it in the dock for an hour and still nothing. I held the power button for 15-20 seconds then held it again for one second and it turned back on. Thank God. Thank you for this video.
