It's fantastic. Awesome update. The effects are amazing, they are easy to use, sound awesome and definitely bring something significant. Now pleeeeeaaaaase make an update with distortion/overdrive/fuzz so we can have the same flexibility rather than having to capture our amps with and without pre-drive !!! However, it’s not letting me add any new tone models saying that “you have added the max number of tone models for ToneX CS. The delays are simple, but sound good and finally there is a usable spring reverb! I had problems with the reverbs before the update. I think the plate reverb sounds great, I didn't liked all the others. I still have one wish: please give us a better room reverb, then I would be completely happy!

Will upgrading the firmware on the Tonex One decrease the bit-depth or sample-rate of the device's audio quality at all? I am just thinking logically that adding new layers of effects blocks must consume some processing bandwidth - so something has to give. I would prefer to keep a higher quality signal and stick with just the amp/cab sims, with other effects being separate to the pedal. What about the latency?
great job guys! let me know if you think its a good idea to put a "block" for an overdrive pedal in front of the amps! i use two instances of tonex in Logic to do this(one for the pedal, one for the amp). but it would great to only use one! thanks so much guys!
Hello IK Multimedia, many thanks for this great update. Is there any chance you will add the possibility to power TONEX ONE with a mobile phone and play audio from it ? So that one can play along with any audio from phone (youtube, audio files, spotify...). That would be a huge improvement

Hi, AmpliTube and TONEX are AmpliTube and TONEX are two different products using different technologies: AmpliTube is made using analog modeling technology while TONEX uses a new technology called AI machine modeling ( www.amplitube.com/ai ). While analog modeling simulates the behavior of the whole circuit of the amp - with all the knobs, switches, buttons and their interactions - AI machine modeling gives an ultra-realistic simulation of the rig with a specific knob settings. So it's not that one technology is "better" than the other, it depends of what the final user's needs are: full editing and customization versus accuracy in getting a specific sound. Using them together gives of course the best of both worlds and a super-powerful amp-sim system. The two products are also different because AmpliTube can simulate the entire set up used in guitar recording (multiple serial and parallel rigs combining amps, all type of stomp effects, post effects, cabinets and microphones, etc.. with full editing down to the single gear), while TONEX is dedicated to simulates just amp, cabinets and certain type of pedals (distortions, overdrive, fuzz, EQ, boost) in each of their combinations. However TONEX can be used inside AmpliTube, as a sub-system of amps and pedals, again to have the best of both worlds. In fact, the latest update to AmpliTube 5 further enhanced the integration and it is better than ever. Note that this integration is in the software, the pedals are hardware that load TONEX Tone Models. And yes, the TONEX ONE also has the new FX.
Any indication when we can expect the updates for the iOS mobile app version of Tonex or the Amplitube 5 update to reflect these effect additions? At the moment these effects don’t seem to be available for the Tonex amp inside AT5.
When are you guys updating it to have a split channel? So i can send one channel to the P.A system loaded with IRs, and another signal without IRs directly to an real power amp.

Hi, just got my Tonex and looking forward to diving deep into it. I was wondering how you recommend it's place in the signal chain, if I've also got a wah pedal and some post FX pedals?
Place the pedal like you would your amplifier. People usually like WAH first in the chain after the guitar, but it can be experimented on depending on what you want the WAH to filter (the dry signal or the FX signal). It’s all essentially just experimentation with your sound!
I’m getting confused about the Tonex Vs Amplitube universes. I have Amplitube Max which duplicates a lot of this. Is this just so you can have presets for Tonex pedals? And does it not work on Tonex One? Also who is that guitarist in the video?
@@ikmultimedia 2 request: separate boost effect and delay/reverb spillover between preset and when I turned on/off delay or reverb..it' s possible? (this make tonex the best pedal on the planet!)
Need to connect the pedal to your computer or laptop after updating the app, it will tell you to update the firmware for tonex or tonex one in my case, nothing complicated.
apparently you can't tweak in real time, you have to load the preset then go to home tab make you tweaks the save them into the pedal, at least that's what I figured out. There has got to be a way to tweak in real time so can hear what it sounds like before you save to the pedal
@@rschua7just make sure under Global Settings that you have set to Advanced. Otherwise you won’t be able to adjust all the parameters, just on and off.

Need the TRS footswitch jack to be updated to accept the Digitech FS3X (and other comparable 3 switch devices) to control bank up / bank down and Tap Temp. Then this unit will be far more flexible without having to get into complex midi programing - but still a very much appreciated update.
Update TONEX in your IK Product Manager. If you have TONEX Pedal or TONEX ONE, after you update the TONEX software and connect them you'll be able to update the firmware.

That's what I need aswel . A distortion/ boost block b4 the amps .
Yeah I agree, but remember you can just add another preset with higher gain or a stomp+amp capture, so it's not a big problem imo

I don't see any firmware update available yet for the Tonex One pedal. How can I update the Tonex One?

Thanks but noticed update only works with Tonex software - I only use it in live mode and this update doesn't update pedal only software :(
I figured it out after initial install you have to go to tonex software and update in there firmware under librarian also - great job thanks much

The FX can be used on a stereo track, but TONEX was designed for a mono guitar input so it may take some tweaking to dial in your perfect sound.

They are not derived from T-RackS.
I updated the pedal and APP, I get no effects, what am I missing?
It is available with the update through the IK Product Manager. Try restarting the software after the update.

This was an update for Mac/PC software and the pedals. We did not announce the FX update for iOS.
