      @visualfootball
      1. The past is not a reliable predictor of future events, especially when the parameters and variables have changed so what's your point? Do you even know? If so try laying it out.
      2. Something can't be both recent AND a long time ago
      3. You go into a lot of detail about how disastrous the Glazers Ownership has been, then a blink and miss it acknowledgement of INEOS making better decisions, then instantly back to the Glazers and claimung THEY appointed Amorim rather than INEOS.🙄 As if nobody would notice. It's NOT a continuum, it's a complete change; INEOS have completely taken over Football Operations, as you well know!
      4. Mourinho was a slash and burn manager who initially won trophies but left every club in turmoil; he became a Professional Grifter a long time ago; he's not someone you'd entrust with a huge budget and a long term rebuilding plan but the Glazers had/have no clue!
      5. Manchester City went through a planned period of incremental progress upgrading their players managers and Coaching staff until they got the best available in every position. They first had to lay the foundations and INEOS appear to be doing something similar (even poaching Berada from City) albeit at an accelerated rate.
Look at how swiftly and decisively INEOS have conducted their business with Amorim and his coaching team.
Look at how they already had a capable and hugely popular interim manager in situ (RVN) if Ten Haag needed to be sacked during the season...coincidence? I think not!
Look at how quickly and easily they got Amorim and all his coaching team installed.
Look at the elite level of the Boardroom and Football Departmental Structure and how quickly it was assembled.
Look at how many players were Bought, Sold, Loaned and let go in the first window under INEOS.
Look at the £103m+ of Sales revenue generated in that Summer Window, the highest amount in United history. Compare that to the huge losses on expensive, failed transfers on Galactico type signings and Hot Trending Players, and the awarding massive contract extensions to de Gea, Phil Jones, Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford under Woodward/The Glazers.
Look at the Bargain Deals that were negotiated under INEOS with Bayern, a club famous for buying low/free and selling high; or the way United beat everyone to Lenny Yoro, the most coveted Teenage CB in Football at the time ahead of Real Madrid, PSG and others.
Look at all the Buy Back and Sell On Clauses that were negotiated on Academy Players that weren't quite ready for first team football at United.
There's still a hangover from the era of Glazer mismanagement but INEOS are rectifying that efficiently, swiftly and decisively.
The Trouble makers and flops are being weeded out as part of a move away from the legacy built when the club was the Glazers Billionaire, Vanity Project Plaything and Cash Cow and a change in Financial Management, Footballing Structure and Egotistical, Lazy, Individual Player Culture to one where the success of the TEAM is of the first and foremost importance.
The Age profile of the squad has been reduced and will go down even more once Evans, Maguire, Casemiro and Lindelof go in the Summer.
The Academy has been heavily invested in and the U18's are dominating in every competition. Amorim promoted over 20 players from Sporting's Academy to the first team squad; he is going to continue United's proud and unparalleled tradition and legacy of having at least one Academy Graduate in every Match Day Squad for the last 87 years.
Amorim improves the skillset, productivity, discipline, football intelligence and fitness of his players.
Between the Academy players Graduating, Amorim's ability to improve players and the INEOS focus on buying younger profile players with elite level potential, it's clear that the club is building for growth and sustainable future success rather than the instant, temporary impact that the other Post SAF managers/coaches have had at United.
The new Stadium will be the largest and one of the best in England and the surrounding area will be redeveloped, supplying hundreds of new jobs, Additional Housing and improving local amenities and infrastructure, transforming a run down and deprived area in the process while improving Transport Links, opening and speeding up the movement of Commercial Traffic through the Ship Canal, creating a new Business Complex, Leisure Parks and Shopping Centre. The Match day Experience will be enhanced and Revenue will increase.
Even if Amorim isn't as successful as we hope he will be at United he, and INEOS will move the Club further forward in the process towards achieving it. Berada's statement laid out the timescale for success, 2028 which will take us up to the end of Amorim's contract, if it hasn't already been renewed (or terminated) by then. That makes it perfectly clear to everybody what the expectation is but also how much time, patience and support Amorim will be given in the meantime.
If you build it they/it will come!

He can fail but the argument of him not being in a top league is the most bullshit I have seen. Mourinho went from managing Leria, to be at Porto and winning the champions league.

@@visualfootball And how many tough games does United get in the EPL? Realistically about 12 a year by the same metrics you used on the Portuguese league, (Braga for example would be an upper mid table team in the prem, and the top 3 would easily challenge for UEL and even UCL spots on a good season) and Sporting gets more tough games in Europe than United, cause they play in the UCL and smack the likes of Man City while United crawl about in the UEL... 😂 I'm a Bayern fan so I don't even care about the Prem, nor do I watch it much, but the arrogance of English fans always astounds me!
The Portuguese league is easily the 6th best in Europe, and maybe even better than Ligue 1 if you remove PSG - considering it a low level league is mad disrespect! I honestly hope Amorim succeeds at United only so as to prove you wrong if nothing else...

Our issues atm is that we havent even been doing the bare basics of 2024 footballing movement.
I genuinely believe ANY decent manager who focuses heavily on positional movment to a tee (the 2024 way of football), you will see quite a stark difference.
We dont need einstein, we just need good manager, all the ones you mentioned were either way past their sell by date (glazers signings which you even admit were poor), or managers that are totally new to management, or managers thay are simply to stubborn to accept their system doesnt work in the premier league.

Premier League brings in €7.5B in revenue, blows £2.8B on transfers, and dishes out £4B+ on wages. Meanwhile, Portuguese clubs operate with scraps in comparison. Almost equal, right? Sure, just with slightly different budgets. Reality check: money buys trophies, not dreams! @@visualfootball You don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. You’ve rambled on about United’s recent history which is completely irrelevant to evaluating whether Amorim is suited for this role.
United have finally taken a step in the right direction and have brought in a proper coach who will develop the existing squad, something which hasn’t happened for many, many years at United.
