great video, total of 8 connections: 1 two evap lines in the back 2 gas filler hose in the back 3 one evap line in the front 4 two fuel lines in the front 5 one electric connector towards middle of the tank 6 one gas hose on top, which give him the most trouble.
I'm about to try to change mine (first time ever) and I'm no mechanic. But I think with this video I got it. You show and describe everything exactly! Keep up the good work!! Thank you!!!
Wonderful video. My 2003 Expedition only had one fuel line and one evap line in the front. Gas tank got caught on something in the back. Also I noticed you can get that 6 mm clamp bolt from the back side when lowered. Great video!!
This is the only video I could find that would help me remove the tank from my 05 Navigator to replace the evap pressure sensor hose. There were s few differences but nothing note-worthy. I just got the tank re-installed, I'll hook everything back up later this afternoon. If I had to do it over again I would completely remove the 2 support straps prior to re-install, they got in the way and made the job much more difficult, other than that the jon went smoothly. Great video, thanks for posting it.
Thank you sir! I have a 2004 2WD Navigator. The service manual says to remove the rear driveshaft after supporting the tank on a jack and removing the support straps. I didn’t see you remove the driveshaft. I haven’t been able to get the rear strap disengaged from the slot because of a lack of clearance between the tank shield and the driveshaft. Maybe that is why they say to remove it. It looked like you bent the straps rather than removing them from the slots.
ive never "had" to remove the drive shaft on most ford vehicles when removing the tanks .. does it make it easier .. yeah sometimes .. but those straps are flexible so most times you can bend them back into place when going back on
Great video except how to I release the factory filler hose clamp where it connects to the tank? It looks like it was pressed into place after the hose was in place at the factory?
Hey Mate, awesome video brother! Do you or anyone here know what the various names and/or sizes of all the quick release connectors shown are? (also the 3 on the fuel filter please). Unfortunately on my FXD 2004 couple of these connectors are brittle and want to break. Any help is appreciated gents.

Great video man! I'm about to replace my pump in my 03 expedition. The tank is over half full, which sucks haha.

Great video brother, theirs a easier way to disconnect it
Those green disconnect tabs have been the hardest part of the whole thing.

i think your looking at the EVAP hoses and not the fuel lines
Thank you for your video it was very informative.. Roughly How much would a job like this cost..? 😊😂
about 1-2 hours of labor
the connector at 2 minutes in back of the fuel tank, i can't get off.any tips on how to get it off?

i would call the dealer and try to get them there .. explain it to them
How you get the other cable off the ones that have the yellow tag
witch one?
How much does a job like this cost? I'm not sure if I want to go through the process 😅
Could cost up to 1200 bucks. Fuel pump is about 400+ and the rest is labor. Doing mine tomorrow should be cake 🎂
I guess I got to remove this drive shaft to replace the tank straps huh... lol
I would do it myself but I’d rather pay someone to do it for me
