I really like that Shawn did go for Abagail fully, even though he knew Jules was interested they gave each other a real shot and it just did not work outm
I liked that too. I would have liked to see Abigail more on screen tho. But I did like that. He actually liked her, and gave it a shot. And Abigail was a great woman. It didn’t feel like he was settling for her.
And that's why season 3's finale couldn't light shules' candle right then & there, because this was a relationship that shouldn't come easy at that moment. It wasn't an end as yang said, but a beginning. A categorical confirmation that juliet did have feelings for shawn. In other words this episode gave us proof that the shules candle did exist, but that doesn't mean it was going to give us the match to light that candle.
Oh man, I never realized this watching the show, but Jules really didn’t know what she wanted for a long time, and she wasn’t gonna let him down easy. It woulda been so tragic if this had been the end of their story.

to be fair nobody has done much since. But thats usually how tv shows go. The big star actors of long running shows rarely move on to have similar success. Where is Tony Shaloub since Monk, or Hugh Laurie since House, what have the guys from Scrubs done. Basically if you dont cash in right away you're forgotten.
@@connorhandforth814 he's in what? Nothing anyone actually watches. I'm talking about success like they have with the big hit show. Yes, most good actors get work and that can be considered success, but that's not the same as getting a meaty role on something that's popular. Go ask a random person on the street to name High Laurie's second most popular gig and they will give you a blank stare.
@@dash4800 That's a very narrow minded way of success. Hugh Laurie has had Emmy nominations for his role on Veep and The Night Manager. His "belief" in aliens in that episode felt earned because it clearly stemmed from childhood wish fulfillment for an alien encounter to be real, but Shawn's skeptical side saw through it.
