I have an Airedale with an IQ higher than any of our politicians. However he still has the innocence and gullibility of a dog. He was barking at night so I told him that the Boogey cat would get him and the only safe place was his basket in my bedroom. He understood and it worked like a charm. When I go to bed, he is in his basket and does not budge. The only problem is that in the morning he will not go out until I go first, to make sure the boogey cat is not there, I presume.
We've had some similar Airedale figurines on the mantlepiece for yonks... Every so often our two dales will suddenly notice them and start woofing like crazy.
Airedale are a funny breed... they will create a fuss if something is introduced that they're not used to.. My Airedale made a fuss when I hung a picture up on the wall
