I've seen her first in that NOVA documentary on mathematics. And then I saw her again when I searched for prominent female mathematicians. It's nice to have a prominent female mathematician role model as a girl who plans on pursuing mathematics.
Look into Danica McKellar, who played Winnie Cooper on the television series, The Wonder Years. She is a particularly well educated Mathematician with a number of honors for things that she helped develop.
I don't know how to explain it, but something about her explanation about the process of discovery was profound to me. Maybe it's the look in her eyes that say "worth it".
She's very accomplished and brilliant and I'm not taking away from that but I find her incredibly beautiful, it makes me even that more immersed into what she has to say. I find listening and learning from her even better because of her beauty
How can she work day after day for years or even months on the same problem? Doesnt she get bored and distracted and depressed and want to do something else?
In the (simple, for inable people like me) cource I am doing I spend nearly an hour having an idk panic attac maybe. Didn't get anything of the second part of the lecture. I am like so pathetic.
I should try to have some compassion because I am pretty sure I am sick not lazy and sick people do deserve compassion but that's a bit behond my capabilities
@@catsaresocute650 thats awesome!!!! I am very glad to hear it - i too have struggled at times and feeling even not capable of having compassion for yourself. I am very very happy to hear it - i too have struggled at times with not having compassion/being kind to oneself, and i can tell u that all the thoughts i used to have back then that were so destructive - were false. some days i think back to then and just feel in awe at how i was able to come to such a conclusions/feelings - it's all incredibly different/incomprehensible to my life now. with that said, glad ur doing better as i know u always can. feel free to reach out whenever - i dont know everything, but the little i know i would like to share with everyone

Hey..........this background music is stolen from a Bollywood song called tera chera.....
I think bollywood stole the music..as this video is older than that movie..

I was explaining the same graph coloring example to my boyfriend before watching this video 😒
Ah, i don’t understand her example because I have no friends.
You are brilliant Dr. Chudnovsky, and I assume you never have problems doing your taxes either. Lol
