DTs - USC
DEs- LSU (close)
LBs- LSU (LSU has a Harold)
CB- USC
Safety-don't know
QB- LSU (close)
Oline- LSU+
RB- LSU (Williams does everything, Jackson is a monster waiting to be released from his cage)
WR- USC (LSU is deeper, USC is very long)
TE- LSU (Maybe best TE in the country, the other two are freaks)
special teams... No idea.
I know this never gets brought up but Kelly is an offensive genius. We will be fine with the headsets. Kelly chooses to be the CEO. Until Riley does he will hold USC back.
I think this is a fair evaluation, though I'd bet that LSU has more future NFL players in the WR room than USC does. The only places where either team has a huge advantage would be LSU on the OL and in the TE room...
Henson is OC in name only? Riley is the playcaller? Didn't realize the helmet coms were 2 way. Thought it was just coach to player. On the comment about sc pass rush getting to Nuss. LT Campbell gave up 0 sacks in '23 and RT Jones surrendered only ONE. Both offensive guards held up well in pass pro. Good luck getting Nuss off his spot.
As to the WR and TE rooms.
LSUs top 4 WRs and TE accounted for 174 receptions. LSUs 3 starting WRs had a 17+ YPR avg. Lacy led LSU with an 18.6 avg. Daniels was #3 in the country for WRs with a 19.4 avg and 50+ catches. He led the country in 20+ yard receptions with 19. Hilton was 17.3. LSUs next 4 WRs and 2 TEs been making plays EVERY day in practice. Possibly the deepest and best WR and TE rooms ever at LSU. WR coach Hankton is one of the best in the country. The 2 TEs are physical freaks, 6'6" and 6'7" 245 LB.
trojans top 4 WRs and TE accounted for 77 receptions. ONLY ONE had avg over 15 YPR.
The USC LBs & DBs will thoroughly shut down and limit the LSU passing threat...
lol they were freshman. They have 4 potential future first rounders at wr. USC secondary is alot better than lay as well. Lsu obviously has a great oline which will be really hard to get pressure. Also usc had a ton of upper class man at wr last year. When most opted out, the freshman got to play, and looked better than all of the starters
@@TonyB-rv9qd doubt that highly. Also shut down and limit is a contradiction lol
@@TonyB-rv9qd Your LBs and safeties will be a lot more concerned with shutting down tiger run game. Then Nuss goes yard to take your pick - Lacy, Daniels, Hilton, Thomas, Anderson, Sampson or Parker. If it's in the redzone then Nuss goes to one of the 3 headed monster at TE, 6'6" Taylor. 6'6" Pimpton or 6'7" Green.
@@shameless1047 I'll take my chances against a bunch or sophs in game 1. Tiger secondary will more than hold their own.
LSU’S starting LT & RT are both projected as 1st RD picks. With Will Campbell possibly going as high as 5th overall.😂
@@jedolivier2688 Good luck
And last year SC had a Heisman trophy winning QB and didn’t make the playoffs. Football is a team effort.
I’ll be sitting in the stands. Looking forward to the venue. Tiger fan, not convinced we dominate but hopefully we pull it out. Respect the opponent, but geaux tigers! Should be good game.
I think most people are expecting a high scoring game, but given the amount of time both teams have to prepare for this matchup I think both defenses show up and this game is a low scoring grinder. Especially given how both team’s defenses played last season. Turnovers and field position will be key to whoever wins IMO. Fight on ✌🏽
Great first game, we keep Moss upright, SC will carve up the LSU defense! SC defense pressures upfront, it's a done deal... SC Big!💯✌️
USC had no shot at beating LSU. As LSU is simply the more talented team and has a lot more than what you are foolishly assuming .
LSUs defense is not going to be anywhere near what the were last year with Coach Baker now at the helm and the SC defensive front will be going against the best Oline in the country good luck getting consistent pressure.
@@DeltonDoucetOmar Speights and Maason Smith doing amazing in NfL preseason is a great sign too
What I have heard in past interviews with MM is that the helmet communication technology is only one-way. The QB can only hear, but not ask or say anything.
LSU’S TE ROOM alone is a BEAST. Throw in an uber talented WR & RB room & you’re in trouble.😂
Yea I hate to tell you this sounds good on paper but in the real world I am not sure this plays out the way he thinks it going to for USC now I am not saying USC does not have players because they do but I don’t think end day USC can hang for 4 quarters with LSU and I maybe wrong but time will tell
As an LSU fan I’m excited for the season and this game! Good Luck! Edit: I know LSU fans don’t lack confidence! Not as confident as I use to be but optimistic after the defenses of the last 4 seasons! Hopefully DBU returns this or next year!
The bigger question is who scheduled this nonsense? Teams typically play against someone they can beat up on for their first game.
Well good thing is see how USC will do vs big ten elite teams. Can see if Penn st struggles or not vs west va as well which is nice for week 1 to kinda gauge the match up later in year.
Don't matter the scheduled team, field, or time, SC will be fine✌️
@@brettk9316 And how the Big-10 teams do vs the Elite Teams= USC, Oregon; SC has an overall winning record against your elite Big-10 teams..✌️🔥⚔️
Not LSU. We always come out the gate with a challenge
@@Cdrop63and lost 4 str8 games
Best QB will be sitting on the bench. USC backup QB is unbelievable
Usc wr room is not on LSU level y'all are tripping man 😂😂😂😂😂
Both wide reciever rooms are good. If you think SC doesn't have a WR room on the level of LSU, you're the one tripping man.
How do you give the Nod to Moss over Nuss when one has been in the system for 3 years already and has more experience? Yall crazy 😂 and there is no diagnosing a Blake baker defense. You’re going to see like 9 different packages with a bunch of window dressing and maybe 10 different players you’re probably not even thinking of. He also said we don’t have a competent play caller lmao!!!!! Joe Sloan is about to show you. See yall in Vegas. Horrible takes all around yall truly don’t know LSU at all
TROJANS BY 90 LSU IS SOFT
@@TennesseeTrojan55You’re funny.😂😂😂
@@TennesseeTrojan55 lmaooo I’ll be back to this
Moss been in the system for 3 years now and Missouri defense last year gave up over 200 against lau and over 400 yards
@@Cdrop63 “Receipts will be kept”🤡
y’all truly don’t know wht y’all are in for jus a bunch of guys talking about nothing. y’all need to worry ab how y’all gonna stop Harold perkins😂 STTDB🐯
LSU will pound the Rock all night long.
To be clear, USC has no advantages to speak of. LSU will drop 70 on us. We won’t be competitive until we hire real coaches like Jimbo Fisher or Jeff Fisher. Fight on
🎉 congrats for the Casual 🤡 comment of the year. Please edit out the Fight On from your comment because you’re way too casual to say that.
I hope I’m good at reading sarcasm 😅
Troll comment at it finest what a 🤡 what an imposter foh your not no USC Trojan
@@IronTrojan32aren’t most usc fans casual? The fans hardly show up to the games

LSU's OL will be the major difference in the game. As LSU's superior OL will give LSU the flexibility to do what it needs to do on offense to win the game.
As there is no way USC's DL can possibly compete with LSU's OL. Sure, they may luck out and win a few reps, as even a blind man finds a nut on occasion. Nonetheless, LSU's OL will win the vast majority of those reps, and the vast majority of those reps is all LSU needs to win the game.
Not to mention that Blake Baker's new defensive scheme is far more attacking relative to last year's utterly incompetent DC. As Baker will blitz the shit out of Moss for the entire game, and Baker, not only has Harold Perkins, who I see wrecking havoc, but many other very excellent pass rushers to go along with Perk.
Sure, Moss can employ the short passing game to counter that LSU pass rush, but Nuss won't have to. He will have the flexibility because of LSU's superior OL to throw the ball deep whenever he wants to. Plus, LSU can probably run the ball down the USC's defense's throat as well.
I just feel like LSU will be able to control the game's tempo mostly because of LSU's superior OL, a little better than USC will, and that will be the major difference in the game between the two teams.
Sure, USC has some great receivers. But so does LSU have them as well. Not to mention that LSU also has the best TE room in its history and certainly in the country.
Moreover, LSU's new transfer portal punter averaged 47 yards a punt last year for Louisiana Tech.
Then Moo State transfer WR Zavian Thomas, who led Moo State in receiving last season, also led the country too in punt returns and kickoff returns.
LSU will be a very hard team to defeat. Not only for USC, but for everyone.
I agree your oline is nasty but we do have bear alexander. I watched him take on double and triple teams last year. It was just the rest of the lien and scheme was so bad. Sc has plenty of talent on the edge too so it shouldn’t be a cake walk for your oline. USC second at is their best position group so will see how your passing attack goes. I think it’ll come down to if SC can stop the run
@@shameless1047 Bear Alexander did not live up to his reputation at all last year. With all due respect, he sucked to high heaven. Plus, he never faced an OL the caliber of LSU's OL.
LSU's OL will simply permit Nuss to be more flexible on offense than Moss will be able to do on offense for U SC, and that will be the biggest difference in the game.
For instance, LSU can simply run the ball down USC's throat. Then when USC loads the box to attempt to stop LSUs running game, that's when Nuss will hit some deep play action passes for easy scores.
@@theblackdog2399bear isn’t who you should worry about though .! USC defensive line has improved tremendously lol we got pass rushers upon pass rushers there is no shortage in usc pass rush . There secondary is bye far better then lsu . Don’t get me wrong this is no easy game for usc or lsu im excited to see it I think its poor scheduling for both sides to be honest . I think miller moss is a better qb just being honest . But ksu is super talented I’ve always loved watching them play regardless they are exciting an awesome to watch .
I'm pretty sure that LSU isn't concerned about Lincoln Riley's input to Moss during the course of the game. As LSU has the same exact capabilities. As Joe Sloan is a QB whisperer..Riley isn't a God, as much as some of you loons want to foolishly believe it.
