IS-3 Heavy Tank - The Red Baron's Soup Bowl

Deployed too late to serve in WW2, but still perfectly in time to get obliterated in cold war activities, the Soviet IS-3 heavy tank was developed in 1944 and 1945 as the predecessor of the OG Stalinum IS-2 heavy tank. The IS-3 had the same cannon as the IS-2 but it had a completely revised armor protection as well as some other improvements. If these improvements actually led the IS-3 to dominate the battlefield is another question which we’ll answer in the combat history part of the video. But until then, let’s dive into the development and deployment history of the IS-3 tank.

IS-3 use to be design to fight againt Tiger 2 and Jadgtiger, but the nazi is surrender and the IS-3 was not into the WW2

IS-3 shouldn't have performed worse than the Centurion or Sherman tanks, but as you said, there were other factors at play.
