  • When an earthquake hits, they strike fast and cause enormous amounts of destruction and damage. Each quake is unpredictable, and experts are still working hard to figure out exactly when and where the next big one will hit. Similarly, tornadoes are unpredictable, volatile, and lethal, They obliterate towns and and bewilder scientists, as each tornado is unique. No one can truly be safe when a supercell hits the ground. In this compilation of Mega Disaster, we travel the globe and learn about some of history’s worst earthquakes and tornadoes.

This was my first experience of seeing a natural disaster of such scale..The Express way collapse has stayed with me for nearly 40 years and I was only watching it unfold on the news here in England..I can remember stories of heroism people climbing into small gaps to try and perform rescues even when they new there was danger of it collapsing on them..😢❤🙏

The thought of being trapped under rubble from a collapsed building, like those shown, is just chilling. Dust everywhere, not being able to breathe, pinned down, darkness, you can't go to a bathroom, a drink of water, the mental toll... that's a really frightening thought and I bet there's other things I haven't even thought of!

Obviously I'll be affected by Yellowstone, but who wouldn't be? I'm inland enough where hurricanes just give me a lot of rain. I'm north enough where tornadoes aren't much of an issue. I pay a crap ton in taxes but I've never lost my house so yeah, I'll take it.

I’m so sick of architects not designing low rise earthquake resistant buildings, these occurrences wouldn’t even be disasters if we lived in sync with nature, instead of just building in any way we wish, when are people going to realise this planet was not created for us, the same goes for flooding, cover the landscape in concrete and that’s what you get floods. Do something about what we are doing and stop wasting time trying to understand these things which will always exist. Humans are responsible for disasters not the earthquake, not the tsunami, stop building next to the bloody sea, all these intelligent people need to start placing restrictions and changes, not waste time guessing when it’s going to happen again, it’s going to always happen. • @sadiearcher5157

22:39 I have to say this, if I were somebody who had been involved with the building of these little cluster of high rise tower blocks, or involved with the actual architecture/design of those particular buildings, ultimately, I would’ve seen the error of my design & 100% absolutely made sure not 1 single building Large or small, tall or short was ever built on that unstable soft soil ever again, coz it had caused the high rise blocks to resonate on a colossal scale, the concrete structures shook that violently - side to side, everything just vibrated itself to pieces, therefore, seeing the collapse of all buildings within that danger zone. Dah learn from mistakes, don’t keep repeating them huh!! 😅
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see there’s many structural weaknesses in high rise towers coz the height will not tolerate the shaking! Not unless the floors are lessened in numbers & the designs upgraded in a manor way!
Lives lost coz of tower blocks shaking themselves to bits during earthquakes, is a harsh lesson for any construction engineer, architect, so on & so forth! Learning from ones mistakes can save so many from losing their life in the event of an epic earthquake!
We’re not living in the dark ages ya know!
About time something was designed to better stabilise tower blocks, coz if we’re gonna build them @ least make them safer than these huh. Daaam! 😅😮

Every single building in Tornadoes valley should by law have an underground Tornado shelter and be built to tornado experts specifications, that means every shop pharmacy school doctors hospitals private homes, also from this moment onwards laws should be passed and grants given to those who cannot afford these constructions, the preservation of life is paramount. Also any architect or even self built homes should be built to withstand Tornadoes it’s not rocket science and it would save the devasting cost of lives and homes in the long run, im furious this has not been part of legislation for the last 30 years. I agree, I use this little pet peeve . Kindly and humbly, you’d do more for climate change putting God back in our lives , returning to church on Sunday , than buying a led lightbulb, or President Bidens misguided plans to make diesel illegal . God did not Design our earthly home to go full blast 24/7 . I believe petroleum products are a blessing , or a curse if our priorities are wrong. For example, what’s more important? Fuel for farmers, trucks to bring us food? Or wars, nascar, wasting it on luxury? Think about it. It’s finite. Earth is screaming for a day off too. I admonish you to read the Book of Mormon and read about it and learn for yourselves. It’s mentioned in the Bible Isaiah 29 as the sealed book. Thanks

Well what about your wife and lovely children. He laughed and said they all insured, even the dog which he hated was covered. Yep he said when the big one hits he is going to be wealthy man.
Of course I now Iive on the fault line with my 3 kids, wife her mother and 2 Aunties Even got myself 3 dogs and 2 cats. I make sure no-one leaves the home or they get the hose again. 5:56

Please know with tornadoes Not all giant wedges are EF-5's and not all tiny ones are EF-1's. The smaller the eye of a tornado the faster the spin. If a tornado looks to stand still and wobble or grow larger - it is coming straight at you! Don't go out and film them, seek shelter! Also tornado winds are much larger than the condensation funnel, so stay away from them!

It makes me angry to see pseudo-scientists performing faux-science "experiments" which are ill-designed, misleading, and totally wrong. For example, the guys who "painstakingly" plotted one particular tornado's path over Oklahoma City and transported it (with no evidence it could really happen) to hit Dallas on that exact same path. Because of macro-landscape right on down to micro-environment differences, the chances of this happening must be astronomically small. A big tornado could hit Dallas, but not on the exact path translated from Oklahoma City. Cut out your painstaking efforts, guys, they are not appreciated.

Surprised there was no mention of Joplin, MO in 2011. Maybe it's too old. But they definitely should have talked about the 1896 St. Louis MO-IL tornado, that was one of the deadliest in history. Revelation 16:18 (ESV), "And there were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, and 'a great earthquake' such as there had never been since man was on the earth, so great was that earthquake."
Revelation 16:20 (ESV), "And every island fled away (liquefaction), and no mountains were to be found (liquefaction)."
The Bible is describing an earthquake far more powerful than a magnitude of 10. Not only is it powerful, but it will last long enough that all the mountains on the earth will liquefy and come down and islands will liquefy and disappear into the oceans. Lahars will cover thousands of cities. No buildings on earth will be able to remain standing due to this earthquake. Dams will be destroyed. Billions of trees will fall due to liquefaction. Fires will break out all over the earth. Tsunamis will destroy most coastline cities killing millions. Billions will die.
