1,2 OH MY GOD!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🔥🔥
👋 I love all Beastie Boys, but Q-Tip raises it up even higher!
🙏🏽🙏🏽‼️‼️
AND his did all of this on the spot, off the top of his head. I feel like Q-Tip does not get enough respect.
A very important song in the history of hip-hop! Banger and then some. An all time great!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Another completely 🔥🔥 album. “Sure Shot” & “Do It” amongst others…Whew. Funky af
Betttttt🔥🔥🔥
One of my favorite hip hop beats ever.
Used to skate to this song at the skate park with my friends.
Awesome music that awakens memories.
The beat is crazy 🔥🔥
My favourite Beastie Boys album.
Let’s gooooo
One of my favorite colabs 💯 RIP Phife Dawg 🙏🏽 I got to see Malik the five-foot Freak before he passed at Fat Beats in Hollywood
RIP🙏🏽🙏🏽🔥
One of my all-time favorite hip hop collabs! The flow and rhythm here is just off the charts. Thanks!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Q-Tip! He did a guest appearance on "Groove Is in the Heart" by Deee-Lite, so good!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🔥🔥🔥
ill communication is my favorite Beasties album. You get a little bit of everything that makes the Beasties the Beasties on this one.
🙏🏽‼️🔥
Great reaction! I got to see A Tribe Called Quest and Beastie Boys at Lollapalooza in 1994. I was waiting for Q Tip to come out on stage when Beastie Boys were on but that didn't happen. It's good to see the next generation discovering the stuff we used to listen to!
I’ll be getting into them more 🙏🏽🙏🏽‼️
Takes me right back to high school, rolling around town in my old Jeep and blasting this. Loved watching you discover and appreciate music that holds a special place in my heart, thanks!
🔥🔥🙏🏽
Always happy to see people find the Beastie Boys. Icons and pioneers of music and hip hop. And one of my favorite tracks! 🔥
🔥🔥🙏🏽
I do not know how I lucked out, but my freshman year at Emory University, Tribe Called Quest came to perform at some Homecoming event. I was an instant fan (grew up on hip-hop, but they were out of my circle of knowledge). Then I saw Beastie Boys perform in concert in 1992 (Check Your Head Tour). This combo is 💥
Amazing 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Very nice! The Beasties so rarely collab with other MCs so when they do you know it's something special.
🔥🔥🙏🏽🙏🏽
Shout out to Grandma Hazel and Grandma Tilly ❤
So smooth. So good. Love that song, personally.
🙏🏽🙏🏽🔥
From what I remember, Q-Tip came into the studio just to hang, but got on the mic and recorded his track unplanned. B-boys cut it up and added their portion separately. Q-Tip joined them on random concerts and couldn’t even remember what he originally recorded.
Wowww amazing 🙏🏽
Wow! How the heck did I miss this song?? This is the first time I've heard this, amazing man. Love it. Great reaction!
🔥🙏🏽thank you so much
Better late than never!
helll yeahhhh knew you'd like that! time to go on a tribe called quest adventure lol

We're goin on a quest called tribe.
Ma Bell = AT&T

You beat me to the Ma Bell explanation. GenX here!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

@ursulabklyn_mia6148 here too. ✊🏽
Timberland boots caught on big around 1992. New York rappers started wearing them a little before that and timberland started to expand their boots beyond the basic models

More Old School venacular double-meaning: "She's the cheese and I'm the Macaroni" also means, he's the mac(k) (aka he's the man).
Ahhhh makes sense
Abstract 💙 1,2 oh my god
🙏🏽🙏🏽💯
CRASH! Sweet reaction, such a smooth tune. Have you heard 'And then I' it was a B side to the 'Check Check it out' single. Keep em coming! CRASH!❤

Wait till you get to the song “gratitude”
also looking forward to your reaction to the live Che-check it out on the letterman show ✌
Funny you say that I just finished editing that reaction, it’s coming soon🙏🏽
Thanks for this reaction. I think the silliness is what made the Beastie Boys so loved. Mix it up with Q-Tip, and you have one heck of a banger. Thank you.

They convinced qtip to do a freestyle when he was hanging out at their studio . Built the entire song around his freestyle
Always the times when you least expect it
I love this track so much.
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Timb's were established in 1973, same as me!
🙏🏽🙏🏽‼️‼️

"Never ever ever smoking crack, never ever ever fucking wack."
😭🔥
@@StaxReacts never smoking crack was definitely a good idea 😂😂
Timberlands heavy drop in early 90’s 2PAC era
Ahhhh gotcha
As a true fan of The Bestie Boys now (Love it) you should livestream Beastie Boys in Glasgow. Best live performance imo. Been loving your reaction and so happy you are becoming a true fan!

@@StaxReacts Lol
Another classic
🙏🏽🙏🏽‼️
God I love this song!
🔥🔥🙏🏽
So the collab between the two most talented rap groups ever produced pure gold? Who'd have thunk it?
Q-Tip my man. Love him forever shout-out A Tribe Called Quest! Another dope Q-Tip collab is w/ Janet Jackson, "Got 'Til It's Gone" it has a cool Joni Mitchell sample as well. Love the videos looking forward to the Rage reaction.
🔥🔥
I love watching someone react to this song for the first time. It reminds me of how I felt the first time.
🙏🏽🙏🏽‼️
Timberlands became popular around the late 1980s. They were first popular because of their resistance to get wet and the gripped well in the snow. They quickly became popular because of their rugged looks and style. It caught the company off guard.
🔥🔥🔥
Love this review ❤❤❤
Thank you 💙💙💙
The phone is ringing....oh my god! :)
So much good memories here. And by the way, goddamn i'm old :)
You are younggg at heart
Phone is ringin’…oh my god
Please check out The Goats. They are my personal favorite hip hop group from the 80's/90's.
Got my first pair of timberlands in 87 7th grade
🔥🔥‼️
If you have not heard "Groove Is In The Heart" by Deee-Lite it is pretty cool, Has Q-Tip rappin, a awesome Female lead, from Parliament-Funkadelic bassist Bootsy Collins, and Trombonist Fred Wesley who also worked with James Brown, as well as their Saxophonist Maceo Parker also with James Brown and worked with Prince. It is kinda Disco/70's inspired, the track is samples of Herbie Hancock and Vernon Burch ("Bring Down The Birds" and "Get Up" respectively).
I have not, thanks for the requests
Fire!
Without a doubt 🔥🔥🔥
that is a great description......Push Pull
🫵🫵🫵🔥🔥🔥
can you do the goats - time is running out? I think when there isn’t captions, you should look up the lyrics. its cool seeing how you interpret the lyrics
‼️‼️🙏🏽
Yay, finally! Love, love, love this one ❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥 Check out Flute Loop, Professor Booty & Jimmy James 🤘
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽soon
Timberland boots were the civilian boot 👢. Used by working class people all over the 🇺🇸. This was how it was for several decades. Timberlands and flannel. Or the coat with the sheep fur collar (first blood). Then the hip hop crowd started wearing them. These boots were worn as a fashion symbol. The original demographic no longer wanted affiliation with the boots. So what right ? Well hears the rub. Work boots wear out and get replaced. Fashion symbols get inherited not replaced (kept nice forever) . Sales plummeted and a new look and "work line" were released in a hope to recover the market share lost to fashion and bigotry. Unfortunately for timberland that share of the market was exploring other options. That's where the black boots got there second coming. I wear black boots for work. I never lined the deer skin color of timberland boots. I'm also not one to give up my style because it has been adopted by others. I just lead the way .
Definitely check out some A Tribe Called Quest. Some great stuff!
Added!
@@StaxReacts I noticed after I commented that you have checked out a few songs of theirs
You must, must check Gangstarr
By who? Or is that a group?
Loving this channel young sir!!! Love the beastie boys and love Tool!!! So you’re on the right track. Would love to see you do a lot of beck. Peace and love from Plymouth mass

❤❤❤❤❤
💙💙💙
Love this one! May I suggest you check out amazing hip hop lyricist The Last Emperor and his track Secret Wars, part 1. I have a feeling you'll really dig it... Even if it's not a reaction vid, I have a feeling you'll just enjoy it.

Bettt
@@StaxReacts yo you still gotta do this one. it is one of the best live clips.
So good! Right? C'mon.
Rage against the machine is a whole different animal. Excited to see that also.
Love to see you do the song "wake up". But there's a lot going on. Definitely need lyrics up on the screen. You will be pausing. Lol
Bettttt
I don't feel the push pull, to me feels like an LP spinning on the turntable with a line across it, and that spot where it spins, then hits the needle. Circular dial on an old phone.
🙏🏽🙏🏽‼️
Nice reaction Stax!
Please check out Big Pun - Twinz Deep Cover ‘98
Peace ✌🏼
Thank you so much, I’ll add it to the list for sure
If you haven’t already, and you react to The ghetto boys Mind playing tricks on me, I will subscribe.
I’ll add that to my list🔥🙏🏽
This is the first time I have ever said I don't like a Beastie Boys song. This one fell flat for me. I like the other stuff.
I can get that, it was more on the chill and relaxed side
🙄 aww... When hip hop was great! Nothing like today's garbage!
You can say that again
Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but back in the days of no cell phones and internet, "Ma Bell" was the nickname for the phone company because it was like one big mother and we were all its children talking to each other. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell_System
