What you are seeing is called roping, and is part of all blow molded kayaks. The reason you see it here is because it is a multi colored kayak. Roping on single color kayaks is much harder to see if at all, but it is still there. All that is happening is the darker plastic from the inside is pushing to the outside, as the ends of the kayak gets skinnier. They use multiple colors of plastic to get the cool patterns you see on the boat body. If you look on the inside you will see the same color as the roping. This doesn’t affect the integrity of the boat at all. Hope this explanation helps.
That is not a defect you are seeing. This is just a part of the blow molding process that you will see during the multi-color blends. You see the mixing of the multi-colors more distinctly at these bow and stern parting lines because this is where the plastic is being pinched off in the mold. When we cut off the excess plastic, it is at these points where you are seeing both layers of color. This doesn't affect the integrity of the kayak. This is just what it comes out looking like when we do the multi-colored kayaks.
My kayak is in a two tone green camo. It too has this issue but I now know that it is just part of the process from the factory and not actually a defect.
That’s just how they come in that color. My Teton looks the same way and I was equally scared at first until I really looked at it and realized it wouldn’t affect the performance at all.
We use the Angler pro as a paddle board when floating the local river with the kids, It makes the smaller rapids more fun. My only complaint about it is the top right and left corners of the seat, That gap digs into my back. I’m 6’2” 210lbs, It is not comfortable if you have broad/wide shoulders. To fix I just bring an extra shirt to put over it.
Great review... I just picked up a Pro and have yet to get it wet. The way licensing goes in this state you have got to wait at the end of the year or waist you money paying for a complete year but getting less than 30 days use on the license. I'm going to mount an electric trolling motor and I also have an antique 1.1HP johnson I'll be putting on it. Lots of lakes here you can only use electric however there's many more lakes that I can use my little gas outboard on. I have a 3hp Champion also but it weighs about twice as much and the mini johnson and its not about speed its about minimal effort while on the water for me.
Out of the three kinds you’ve had, which one would you suggest for a guy like me that’s willing to spend up to $500-$600 and would like a pretty good one. And have you ever used foot pedal, and can you stand up and fish in those
Out of the 3 I would pick the tamarack pro…. But for the same price I might get the bass pro shop ascends model on sale sometimes. It’s probably the best bang for the buck. If you can find any used foot drives I would try that.
The defect on your kayaks is the parting line flash from the mold...they probably took a torch to the flash to knock it down. Torch would be faster than an xacto knife
I ordered one and it came damaged, pretty bad. I loved it too, great for the price. I got me a bonafide instead. I had the same black marks, plus several gashes, and they never offered to send me another but let me return for a full refund
They sent me a new one and I’ve been calling them every day for about a month to come pick the other one up. I’m aftaid they are going to charge me for it
It finely dawned on me about the lifetime kayaks at walmart and why their dirt cheap. Manufacture defects is the reason minor blemishes that prevent full price sale. If you see lifetime official site they sell non defected kayaks. At full price. That are flawless. So if walmart kayaks work thats what counts defects you live with or pay more for flawless kayaks. Manufacture has to make money anyway for defected items so price is reduced to cut some loses.
Nope. Walmart buys them in bulk so prices r reduced. If a person orders just 1 its alot for shipping, handling & packaging costs. Plenty of people have ordered yaks from the website & it was damaged & not useable. Sum reviewers even had this happen. Its better to buy it @ the store bcuz they r in better condition (surprisingly) lower price & u can give it a good look over b4 purchase.
It looks like shipping damage because they only wrap them in light plastic. If you buy it at the store instead of shipping it you can see it before you buy it.
Honestly that yak should’ve been scrapped at the manufacturer those are badly molded pieces. I used to work in plastics. That looks like underfill spots.
Nope they are all like that. It’s two colors of plastic the inside of the boat is dark the outside is lighter it’s probably actually mostly recycled products
Apparently lifetime, only respects men customers. I bought the same kayak from wallmart, with the exact same defective paint job, and was told to contact the warranter... so I did..I sent photos..I was asked to fill it with water, to see if it leaked. I felt what did that have to do with their defective paint job. I asked for a different kayack. They never responded. I'm VERY displeased!! That paint job looks like the kayack is comming apart at the seem...I have no idea why lifetime has not fixed that issue, it looks horrible. I guess they dont take pride in their workman ship! Oh, and the buckle on the chair broke...now I have to tie it in a knot to be able to use the chair, I bought this kayack October 11th of this yr. 🙁
It’s not a defect. That’s the way they are.it’s HDPE plastic and they obviously used a blend of rope that gives this effect. If you look inside it’s probably the darker color. When they melt the seams together the different colors of the inside and outside blend and create these effects

Yes it did! I pinned your comment so others would know.
They probably used a torch to knock off the parting line flash. I really don't like blow molding but I guess I'm good at it
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will be taking a better look at this situation to help customers enjoy this kayak.
Thanks! It’s an awesome kayak I just didn’t know if it was a shipping error or a problem with the mold.

I actually love the look of the dark swirl coming through the plastic
Great video just bought one. Installed my fish finder center below the lifetime tag up front

Pretty good microphone, I can hear his heart racing when he was launching the kayak!
Where did you pick up the upgraded paddle?
Good review bro. This maybe my next yak. Thanks for the honest review. Keep dropping great videos keep ripping them lips!!
That’s just how they come in that color. My Teton looks the same way and I was equally scared at first until I really looked at it and realized it wouldn’t affect the performance at all.
How does it cut through the water? Easy? Or does it require a lot of effort
What an improvement from the last tamarack. I had one and loved it but needed a bigger boat but might pick up one of these

Water leaks through the paddle holder holes where the bungee come out of the hull
Hows the stability when paddling or casting? Do you feel like it’s easily tappable?
Nice video. Where you able to put the transducer for the fish finder through the scupper hole in that yak?
I ran the chords from the bottom but yes.
Watching this because I was thinking about upgrading to this
This was a good review. Appreciated!
Do you still have this one? How has it held up?
I sold it a while back but it was a good kayak while it lasted!

Great review from your kayak ,,,
How long is your paddle .?
Thank you

Great reviews brother. And nice bass
Still waiting on the mod/ upgrade video
I'm gonna order some and hook you up!

Is it better than the regular Tamarack angler 100?
Yes for sure!
Where did you buy it off of? I checked walmart but theyre sold out online and in store
Walmart.com but they are always sold out
@@GeorgiaBassmaster Awesome, and also have you tried standing on it?
Would you ever invest in a pedal kayak? I have the $$$ for one but I’m still debating. Good review bro✊🏾
For sure I would no doubt! That will definitely be my next investment
I dont know if paint being bad can be classified as "defective", but what do i know.
i got a deal on this kayak for $303.99 man i love using coupons on top of sale discounts hahaha love this kayak
Where?

Great review. I enjoy your videos non tik tok and TH-cam. Do u mind me asking how much it weighs and price ?
It was $350 and I think it weighs like 60 pounds

how much was that?
$350

But I still really like the tamarack. I’m in a pelican challenger angler 100. Nice boat but seating sucks.
