    Most of your gripes are operator error and lack of experience. The T-handle doesn't auto return because they want you to keep your hands on it. It's also done that way for certain functions like trenching or grading. The 4-1 bucket uses more pressure than what the Kubota is producing. You have to pay attention to these things. The bounciness is normal. The Kubota is far smoother because of it's track design than other machines. Regardless of brand they are all going to ride the same.

    I bought an sk800 2 years ago, now has 80 hours on it. So far, I love it. I wanted the Kavita, but a year after their debut, no one had one ìn stock or could get one. I'm glad now I went with the Witch, the dual controlls for forward and reverse are sweet, I run very close to structures quite often, and am yet to hit anything.
    Thanks for the informative review

    I've had an mt52 for years. When i first got it it had a 36" bucket, I hated it would very rarely use it. Then i got a 60 inch bucket, and then loved it, use it all the time. The load capacity on my machine is only 500 lbs and I still love it with a 60" bucket. With 1000 lbs machine I would go 72" short lip bucket, then you will love it, and use it all the time.

    I have the SCL as well... On my machine, the turn handle returns back to zero or the middle... I recently took it in for the 50 hour service and they did an update as well but it was not touchy at all... Now if I had the RPM's all the way up and I would try to make small movements near a wall or sidewalk there was a greater chance of over motion (hit or nick the object)... My remedy after 50+ hours is to just drop the RPM's... That will give you less Hydro flow to the motors and better control... As for your bucket open or close stall, it seems that the hydo is still flowing even after it is complete open or closed... I have a 36"CMP Hyda Bucket and use the continues Aux button... When I hit a big branch or a full size brick, it will stall just as it would if I go into a big pile of dirt... I just have to back off of it... On yours machine, do you continue to press and hold the Aux button 1 or 2 after completely open or close??? On your bucket not sitting flat on the ground. I also purchased the Kabota 36" bucket but i got it with removable smooth cutting blade and it sits flat on the level ground... It sucked at first because I'm 5'8" and couldn't see the blade when it was flat on the ground and it has difficult to see what my blade was doing... Solution: I ordered the Piranha Tooth Bar and killed two birds with one stone... I could now see my cutting edge and as a bonus, carry more material in the bucket because it added just over 3 and 1/2 inches on the long teeth... I hope this helps... I will eventually post some videos when I can... Good luck

      Do u think the bobcat mt100 is better ot the Kubota scl1000

    • @generogg
      @generogg 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@GRUBB-MUDD After all my hours of research, my opinion is the Kabota. My reasons are 4 PSI (vs B 5.25 PSI)on tracks that are almost 10" wide, keyless start, it lifts a little higher and further, travel speed forward and revers is 4.9mph, Aux flow 15 gpm vs 12 gpm, i think oil drain on Kabota is a twist valve under standing platform and Bobcat is in front behind cover (50hr service was done at the dealer so not positive yet), but most of all, the Kabota has a Kabota engine. I think the MT100 also has a Kabota engine... Also, my dealer is less than 5 miles away... Both machines are very capable... Hope this helped

    Glad somebody else has problems with it too. Mines been in the dealers shop 4 times. The engine and hydraulics shut off instantly without warning and it throws the locking pin into the drive cog. Full speed reverse when this happens results in getting ejected off the back! Apparently they just swap parts hoping to fix the problem instead of actually diagnosing it. Im not happy with kubota or my dealer. Avoid front range kubota in colorado.

    We almost bought this instead of a mt100 but I couldn't get over the T-handle and how it has input lag which is a problem with what we do. Also the 9 inch tracks dont let you get enough traction. If it wasn't for the controls. I think I would have bought it. The hinge pin height and reach was amazing and the tech was great. I just couldn't get over the input lag and T-handle. Eventually went with the mt100 and iso controls. I still like how it looks better than the mt100. Great video!

    Cool to see this review. I started with a Toro TX420 loved is so much. After 7 years it was time to upgrade. In 2019 picked up a used Ditch Witch SK850 Plus (➕ 500 lbs weight kit) = SK1050 I always had a larger bucket on the Toro. Hard to find a mid size bucket! I ended up going with a Blue Diamond 52" Low Profile Bucket with 20" High. Best buck for a mid size machine! Love to pick up the SK3000. One day. 🙂
    One of my clients picked one of the Kubota. I've yet to see a YT video with a Ditch Witch SK1050 vs Kubota SCL1000. (planning on doing one soon) plus I just want to check it out.
    What does it tell you when Kubota did the Rodeo event, with all their dealers to launch the product and they had every brand but the Ditch Witch?!
    Defiantly won't loose any power with the 37 hp engine or the 30 hp to attachments . Hard to say till I can do a side by side how the SCL 24.8 hp turbo would stack up against the Ditch Witch.
    Thank you for sharing!
    Love my Ditch Witch!

      I can easily move around 1100 lbs. I picked a massive stone out of the ground the other day with it. Had to be even more. You can really push it with the mt 100. Mt 100 has a kubota engine in. Good engine, nothing bad to say about the company but this is their first attempt at a mini skid. When the third version comes out, then it may compare to a mt 100.
