- Chris and I spent a nice weekend at Joshua Tree National Park. Even though it's a desert, the landscape and plants were beautiful. There's something special about the plants and animals that adapt to extreme climate conditions. I hope you are all staying safe and healthy.

If you want your own miniature Joshua Tree, that stays much smaller and has much bonsai potential, check out a wonderful little succulent called Sedum multiceps.

So people know: It is illegal to harvest, take, or harvest a joshua tree. Unless you have a permit for educational purposes. If you find someone selling a joshua tree I would question it. Even if it is from their own property there are permits required. If you MUST have one then buy seeds or get one from a nursery (make sure they have permits). But overall, in good taste, I would not recommend owning one unless you live in these areas and one is growing naturally on your property.. but then again you would still not "own" it based on the laws put in place to protect the joshua trees.
to think that I couldn't visit far away places that are so beautiful, but get to see them here on your channel and fell a bit of the beauty through the screen, is a wonderful thing,also thought your videos were at max comfort but this one was even more of a blanket and hot coco feel, and your fashion matching the pinterest vibe is 👏, amazing video again.
By the look of them, those “crumbly” rocks might be weathered granite. Feldspar crystals suffer from hydrolysis and what is left are the quartz crystals and the products of the chemical reaction, hence that ASMR texture. I don’t really know if there’s a name for it in English, but it’s called ‘jabre’ in Spanish or ‘sauló’ in Catalan :)

the tree has so much character given its resilience, I like to have these as frame for the front garden bed and in pots for that reason, and they really are an anchor because they provide consistency to a look I want to maintain when other plants are damaged by frost or drought Joshua will remain carrying the gracefulness of the intended landscape, their added value being an evergreen when all else is dormant
