    I love the kid who keeps looping round who realises how cold the water is, their face keeps making me giggle.

    Never seen anything like that at a water park before. Thanks for sharing!

    They had one of these at Action Park in New Jersey, but it had rollers instead of just a slide. It was removed in the 90's, but the platform is still used as cabanas.

      Oh, Action Park 😂 I can never forgot the stories I’ve heard of that park in the 80s, even if it’s safe now lol

    Funtown Splashtown used to have an Aquascoot slide. It was where the black and green enclosed tube slides are, and why the runoff pool is so long for those slides. I wiped out so bad on a school trip I gave myself a fat lip!

    That's crazy it's built on a huge hill instead of a tower. It looks really cool. It looks to by my favorite slide there.

      A lot of slides there use the hill.

    Aquaboggan's sister park was Water Slide World in Lake George, NY with a similar, if not identical, slide package. Sadly, Water Slide World closed after the 2016 season. They had an identical slide to this one and I wonder if Aquaboggan didn't purchase and move these from Lake George?

    Barely outside of New England, Water Slide World in Lake George/Queensbury NY (near Great Escape) had (RIP WSW) had a slide just like this.

    The runoff is mostly the same, the key difference is how steep the slide is, and the sleds are a little heavier now, and not as slick as they used to be. As you can see, they dug out the hill for the slide, and the slide used to go further and deeper in the hole. Kind of like what Water Country did with Geronimo, they did the same here. The ride is slower than what it used to be, but probably that is the only way they could get insurance back. The heavier sleds are so you so not wipe out as easy, and the sled sinks faster in the pool so you do not skim as far.

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for explaining the differences!

      @@CanobieCoaster What do they use it for? There's what looks to be a bouncy castle on it all deflated or something.

    I'm guessing that the Bailey Aqua Skoot is what Hurricane Harbor in Arlington TX had before they removed it. I rode that several times, and I loved it. It was my favorite slide in the park and has always stood out in my mind. I never wiped out. I was so sad that they got rid of it. I found a video from In the Loop that shows it at about the 2min50sec mark. th-cam.com/video/mVjiGNYH3iw/w-d-xo.html

      @@CanobieCoaster It’s been SPNO for a few years. i think it’s getting replaced with some sort of dueling Pro Slide model. It’s too bad it’s going it was a really fun slide.
