For those that are confused about the physics of how this slide works, the raft always goes to the lowest point, possible, the entrence and the exit are at the same level and are in the middle of the slide so they can rotate and it will always be a closed loop, but the slide was designed to be almost like a Ferris wheel at some points so during the pauses, sometimes the slide is lifting you up higher so you can slide down one part of the slide until you get to the end.
@@dakota3124 I think it a timing issue with both the water flow and rider flow, looks like there are “pockets” that the riders fit into, any faster and they would probably run the risk of not enough water or too many people in one part of the tube.
It would wrap around until they got back to center (or wherever it connects to stationary tube) and then there would be a connector that would allow spinning side to rotate while also allowing a smooth/seamless connection.
I was also thinking about this, I don’t get it either, it has to do with them always being at the low point in the slide I think, because it’s rotating, idk if that makes sense but it’s the humble conclusion I made so my brain didn’t explode.

@@rome.u you can still have claustrophobia without feeling uncomfortable in every small place, you know? i feel completely fine in airplanes and elevators but i feel like dying in water slides and small cars! but if u wanna be sure if u have a phobia, try going to a therapist (those guys are awesome tbh). my therapist is been helping me a lot with my claustrophobia, it's so good to be able to go to places and to do things that i wasn't able before :)

Very cool! For those who are complaining that the ride stops and starts. It doesn't. The ride spins at a constant rate. Everyone is always at the bottom of a loop like when you put a marble in a bucket and angle the bucket. As it spins they move. Gravity keeps them there a d moves them. The way they get in and out is that in a rotating object the only stationary point is the center. So the entrance and exit are at the center, with maybe some special joint at the exit that allows it to free-spin. The reason they slosh back and forth is that the radius of the loops changes as they loop through/around each other. So relative to the ground at the bottom there be low points and high points so when the ride reaches a certain point you slide down into a low point and since you cant slide uphill you slosh until the ride has spun to the point where uphill becomes downhill and you can slide to the next low point. I was worried if the equipment got stuck there might be no way for you to climb out or for rescuers to rope down and around to you (I even thought about what would happen if a pipe were to burst in that scenario and flood half of a loop) but another commenter mentioned seeing escape hatches in the pipe that could be used for rescue efforts. It seems like a lot of fun! Like a loop-de-loop where it goes around you instead.
Imagine this being flooded with water and you having no idea which way you're supposed to swim towards while on the countdown to inevitable death. Bonus nightmare if there is a loved one with you. I should really stop my brain from going all apocalyptic, this seems like fun.
