Hey man. I finally got a Yeti I scored a great deal on eBay on a roller that was the kid version. And has a few extra upgrades. Looks like it really hasn't been used much at all think I got a great deal. I know this video is made a while ago. But go on eBay and get some titanium coated hex drivers. You can get them for under $10 if you really look. It will really be a huge help to you. Over those fold-out hex set that you have. You have the truck for a few years now so I should definitely get the aluminum steering rack set you're saying it already has aluminum hubs. And it looks like it has the axle cvd dog on things. So besides the steering rack what else is a must-have upgrade for this truck. Really excited I've got a Twin Hammers clone that I have upgraded with the shapeways stand-up bellcrank shock. And a real Twin Hammers real axial. Such a great truck I loved it. So thought it was time to get a proper Rock racer. Maybe this fall we can meet up and take for yetis out. For some good trail riding. Let me know if you still have the yeti. And if you could let me know on must have upgrades thank you so much. Rock on

RCoverload forgot to mention i also noticed the rear springs are too soft i went with the 1.71lbs/in those seem to match up perfect with the 20wt and in no longer bottoms out off of a 1 foot jump
Hello dear, I have an Axial Yeti RTR 1/10. Recently I’m hearing an electrical leakage and spark sound while steering to right. I guess so my servo is out of order. Which servo should I buy for the stock version? I’ll be really so appreciated if you may help me. Thanks 🙏🏻 😊
I am thinking about getting this truck. but the one thing i realized about it was the suspension travel; i personally thought that it was pretty bad, and so when i get it i'm going to do what i can to get more travel to make it more to scale with the actual trucks. any suggestions or pointers with this truck?
I always keep my rigs clean. Anything that stays dirty tends to break more often or wear out parts quicker. So i just always take the time to clean them after each run.
+RC Overload I did figure out where it was rubbing on my SCORE. It was rubbing where the steering goes left and right underneath the differential. Right where the set screw goes into driveshaft. I did the whole front end Vanquish. I opted for no carbon fiber. It handles awesomely!!
G14 It really depends on what your going to do with the truck. Also im not sure if in the kit version they use all of the same stock parts or if they use some upgraded parts. Either way, the best thing to do is get the rig... test it out and see in your opinion what looks like it will need for improvements
Not any time soon...Haha...If I ever come across one on craigslist for cheap, like I did with my Revo 3.3. Then I may consider it. Otherwise I would rather put that money into a 1/5 scale truck.
BigCarKilla Yea, I am very surprised that those screws are doing that.....definitely some unusual stuff breaking on the yeti that doesn't "normally" break on other trucks.

Yes i definitly agree... the rig has a lot of potential but with all the talk about how great this truck was before it came out. I think it set too high of standards for what it really is. I almost wish axial spent a little more time testing the rig before sending it to the market. But nothing we can do now...thats why im just upgrading it and making it better

Also just a little tip. You can put some CA glue on the edges of your carbon fiber towers and it helps protect them.

Why is your rig never dirty? Do you do work on it just for the fun of doing work, or do you have another identical one that you run?

I installed the Vanquish steering rack, the post as you did but my rack is rubbing. Did yours have any issues?

I use my Dremel to correct the issue. A little bit of the Vanquish aluminum had to go away but it was minimal.

Ohh and also try not to have a lot of finger prints on the carbon fiber so it doesn't have a white residue

After changing the front toe block, I've noticed that as well as my screws backing out, they too had bent :/
