Thank you! I watched a 9 minute video last night that was so tough to follow that I planned on spending an entire evening pausing and playing the video 3 seconds at a time to follow along. A daunting but doable task. I watched this once and feel like I retained 90% of the process to get me started. 🙌😎
Brilliant! I have waded through several map route tutorials over the last year and a half and this looks like not only the simplest but the most versatile. I put my motorcycle rides and powerboat races on video and I like to pop in maps and local scenes as the routes progress.
Thanks for this. I like to fact that you taught me so much in just 3 minutes. It was very easy to follow and I feel it added a little extra to my video. Thanks for helping creators to create. You're a legend.
This is why I love Davinci. Where in Premiere Pro I had to spent an hour working with multiple disappearing layers, in Davinci it is so easy. Thanks for the short and super clear video.
Joris, thank you for your clear instruction - I've watched several tutorials on animating lines in DR, and I'm sure they know what they are doing, BUT they do not have your talent for giving clear, understandable instructions - Cheers!
So helpful Joris.... love the videos like these, easy to understand and helpful! And your sense of humor in videos makes watching and learning a joy haha! Thank you for sharing with all of us!
This is such a good tutorial. It's quick and easy. I'm recording minecraft videos and since I'm playing on a large biomes world there is going to be a lot of travel I'll be skipping and this will be a nice touch to show the distance and isn't something that's seen in MC videos too much.
Hi, thank you for the video. Everything worked except my PNG still has a black box outline (it's transparent) and it creates a trailing effect like it is blurry and and leaving images of itself behind. I've exported it from small to large, and removed the background, even JPG, but it still has the same effect each time. Any suggestions would be appreciated, great video.
I didnt either know what to call this, my search was "edit map route video" and it lead me here, and this was just perfect for my use. Thanks a bunch for great tutorials!
Watched this video so many times the last couple of months. Thanks for the great tutorial! Ideal to create maps for our overland journey to South East Asia! Goed bezig ;)
Thanks so much for this video! This was exactly what I was looking for. Just a simple and short video to show our routes =) As a complete beginner with fusion this was just perfect for me!
Thank you so much, this was EXACTLY what I needed! One question though: how do you pan/zoom the whole shot while the line is moving? I'd like to create the effect of the camera following the line as it's being drawn.
Hi, great short video. I followed the steps but have a question: Why does my image get reduced when I click on it and do to the Fusions page? There appears a transparent border around my image. On the Edit page, before crossing over, it was ok in its original size and filled my video frame. Any help appreciated.
Great video! I was able to make a quick map route for my simulated New York City drone flyover. First time trying to make one of these and your tutorial helped out greatly! Thanks! 😁
No frills, 3 minutes of goodness - short and sweet. Genius. Thank you Joris!
Most welcome! 🤗💯

Hey Joris this is an amazing tutorial, It helped me to have an idea of how to make this animation, I really appreciate your channel
Simple and effective! Imho, you are the Resolve goto guy!
Thank you so much, this was EXACTLY what I needed! One question though: how do you pan/zoom the whole shot while the line is moving? I'd like to create the effect of the camera following the line as it's being drawn.
Yeah, just some simple manual keyframing (position and zoom)

As someone who does Tabeltop gaming lore videos, this will help tremendously in showing treks and journeys of characters.
Thank you.
Great video! I was able to make a quick map route for my simulated New York City drone flyover. First time trying to make one of these and your tutorial helped out greatly! Thanks! 😁
Great guide!
Everything works, however, when i use a Brush icon or an imported image is has a black square border.. How do i remove that?
Thank you!
Select Paint1_1 node, instead of modifiers go to tools and disable "Use GPU"
Legend. Spent hours figuring this out.
Thank you so much for sharing! Much more faster than masking everything out :)
고마워요^^;; 언제나 도움 많이 받고 있습니다~😍
