Thanks! I hope to learn much more and be able to help inspire others to create things so everything can be enhanced and projects can become better for everyone.

    Very good project 👍

The reason you need to have the source run at maximum 0.5 is due to the summing pre-output
If you still get clipping, keep reducing the gain. Multiple grains of the reverb will continue to add to the total gain which will make it clip

Thank you so so much genius sir for making this video, this is what im looking for... for my teensy..you really done it, Now i clearly understand and ill try this tomorrow... i really love your channel.. Keep up and God bless you sir..😊😊

It was easier than I thought so I wanted to do the video, I wish I could have gotten the regular reverb to work as a comparison but if I do I will make a follow up video.

I used to film everything and edit afterwards, but if you made a mistake it was a PITA. Now I film a scene and edit it straight away, and that makes it easier if you have to redo a section because it's still setup. It's not a problem on my i7 4770 having everything open at once, and I leave the cam on the tripod and use a long USB cable so I don't have to move it to get files to the PC.

My biggest obstacle is moving the stuff around and not wanting to go back and get set up whether it’s the actual stuff being filmed or the camera itself. First world problem, I constantly mumble that I need more space and a better place where I can be more permanently set up so I’m not tearing everything down constantly.

Thanks, this was excellent! Just what I was looking for. Now I'm trying to figure out how to convert a wav file from a downloaded sound sample at freesound into an array for the sketch. I can't get my audio shield to play on the SD card besides I'd rather have the sound come directly from the sketch anyhow. I've done some reading on the wav2sketch program - sounds confusing. Have you used it? If so, maybe you could do a video on that process. Thanks - as always, great content here.

I got Wav2sketch working to play drum samples from memory, though I was using it on a mac. I recall having to jump through hoops and go on forums and eventually it worked. Can't remember if I went into any specifics on it but if so, maybe some info is still transferable for other OS's th-cam.com/video/exhIvvogbsg/w-d-xo.html

Could this be made with teensy 3.2?

Why is that block called a mixer when presumably it adds the signals together, instead of multiplying them?

    • @GadgetReboot

I’m not completely sure but I think for this purpose it actually is a summing amplifier like an op amp compared to RF would be a multiplying mixer www.electronics-notes.com/articles/analogue_circuits/operational-amplifier-op-amp/virtual-earth-mixer-summing-amplifier.php

    How was the latency?

    • @GadgetReboot

I need to do more testing (and I have ordered 3 or 4 more I2S boards with different chips on them now to test, along with a Teensy 4.1) but I found this project that describes similar tests cdn.hackaday.io/files/1638357009516640/Final%20Project_Complete.pdf
The audio passthru latency there was 145us (page 38) but I wasn't clear what they were talking about with max delay 530ms so I'd have to do my own testing when ready to get back at it!

The max delay is most likely the total delay buffer size period ..
      Effectively half a second
Latency is total passthrough period from source
Max delay line = Total amount of time due to the buffer size and frequency rate of the array scan
(There's a bit more to this. But that's the simplified version)

I still need to build the breadboard delay circuit...where does the time go?
