First you have to throw out that perfume, then the smell will go away. Depends on how thickly the perfume has penetrated into the carpets and cushions, but yes, it will get rid of the smell.

Use many years ago. Not effective in getting rid of car bad smells.

I suppose it depends on how bad the smell is, and perhaps you might want to check the unit. The cartridge needs to be replaced once a year.
