Really appreciate this open and honest discussion about cannabis in Nepal-its history, the impact of King Mahendra’s policies, and how it connects to global politics. It’s refreshing to hear such a thoughtful conversation about legalization and how it could shape our economy and future. Cannabis has been part of our culture for so long, and it’s time we rethink its potential in a way that benefits everyone. I hope we can move forward with wisdom and responsibility, creating policies that not only boost our GDP but also respect our traditions and values. Here’s to a brighter, more progressive future for Nepal. Jai Nepal! 🌿🙏

I might not have understood everything in this podcast, but one thing about Nepalese local alcohol is absolutely true! I've been drinking for 15 years and have tried varieties from Asia, Europe, America, and Africa. Interestingly, I found that the Jamaican rum 'Wray & Nephew,' which is an expensive brand, tastes almost exactly like our Nepalese local alcohol, 'Tin Paney'-same taste, same smell, and even the same kind of experience after drinking. Plus, the alcohol percentage is just as high.
I have heard many other guests in your podcast on cannabis and wider possibilities of its use and dicriminalization process and challenges around it. Informations delivered by the guests in this episode are not factual and true, but informations based on their personal experiences and what they have heard and read here and there. It's a very serious topic to discuss and information fed in the media has to be 100% correct to build up nationwide positiveness towards the wonder plant. Pls research and edit the informations before actually releasing it on your channel. You are among the responsible podcaster in the media at the moment. You should hold your stance right. Dear Bikram ji and Giri ji!! I admire your energy and excitement for the plant but honest plea-watch out what you are delivering-informations could be fatal if not delivered right and backed by the research and facts. Best wishes!!
💯 agree with you, sir. I kinda feel some of the information they said are it’s based on their own personal experiences, but the facts. As a hardcore stoner 10 years back. And like every stoner does,I used to do some research myself about its pros and cons too. Ps. Just my opinion though.
Really like your podcast bro, this topic and many others. I condone drug use but when it comes to psychedelics and Cannabis i am a supporter. A decent watch. I feel like with these sort of platroms,we are closer than ever in recognising and appriciating our indigenous culture of ktm as well. The newari cuisine may be a good place to start,... as a part of "momo revolution". Some may like to dig into momo's origin and cast their final judgement, but as a Brahman, momo was a window for me and many others, through which we were able to appriciate newari cuisine and most importantly newari culture, which goes so well with lifestyle, then and now. With this, acceptance of cross-border culture comes quite naturally as well, without judgement. Keep digging bro.
i am totally up for legalization of weed in nepal ...it will help us make cloths, medicine also raise our GDP insanely...but strict laws and regulations.... should be put in place....Jainepal

@dmtx0366 very true. It's better to call out medical experts, psychiatrist and doctors who have done well research, healed and cured many patients rather than people who are giving bluff and talks even without studying about biology and medical science. Little knowledge is dangerous to society , people, livelihood and lifestyle.
@@sikasbkoju3715I am still doing small scale medical research on cannabis, I somewhat backed what what they are claiming medically because I have seen and observed.
@ I’m a doctor and a psychology student, and I personally know one of the guests. He’s a great leader with a clear vision, and I respect his efforts. That said, when it comes to a complex issue like this, expertise is crucial. He’s definitely the right person to lead the campaign for marijuana legalization, but it needs a well-structured team with specialized knowledge. As a doctor, I understand the world of drugs and their effects, but I also know our formal education on this topic is limited. Self-study helps, but it can’t replace structured, evidence-based expertise. Nepal lacks real experts in cannabis research-I’ve only come across one Nepali doctor studying psychedelics and marijuana, and he’s based in the USA. This shows how much we need more research and evidence-based discussions here. I recently watched a podcast featuring Dr. Basanta Pant. I know him personally, and he’s an incredible neurosurgeon. But some things he said about drugs really surprised me. It reinforced my belief that these discussions should involve people with both academic knowledge and real-life experience. Sushant Dai is a great podcast host, and with the influence he has, I think he should be mindful of the narratives being presented. Even Joe Rogan, whom I admire for his approach, sometimes makes blunt statements-it happens. The key is making sure these conversations are as informed and balanced as possible. Nepal still has a long way to go before we can responsibly talk about legalizing marijuana. There’s a lot of groundwork needed-more research, expertise, and public awareness. Having the right people with both knowledge and experience is essential for making informed decisions.
