Thanks for the videos. I've had good success using double sided tape on the mushroom set. It keeps the set in place on the surface but needs to be replaced after a couple dozen rivets or so.
Using a rivet gun and bucking bar can be intimidating but once you dial in the feel of it you'll be able to do it in your sleep. #40, #30 shouldn't take but a quick (brappp) 1 or 2 second trigger pull, #21 and #10 take a little longer trigger pull. The trick is to let the bucking bar do the work, it should be relatively effortless. There's a fine line between a death grip and letting the bar bounce uncontrollably. Took me awhile to find the feel but once you find it you'll never forget it....oh and the sound, there's a sound change that you'll learn to listen for too almost like the rivets says "ok, check me".
I've gotten quite a bit better at riveting over the course of the build. It took me longer than it should have to convince myself that the bucking bar does most of the work and that I didn't have to have a death grip on both the gun and the bar!
