Imagine if he was getting royalties for his immense talent. So many band members of great musicians are living in penury. It is never too late. His talent can still make a way for him. May God help him. Amen
One thing is discernable from this discourse; the loose nature of employment. No contract of employment, hence they can leave the band at anytime. They are paid per each engagement. Good job.
I just watched this interview till the end now, this baba lankua story is really saddened and terrible. Nothing is too small to assist this baba, may baba find helper of destiny. I will also drop something
the spanish tunning is monotonous and easy way of playing double notes. the highlife tuning gives you the opportunity to play all genres of music.. Nice job sir
Though I never heard about this great man since,,,but his situation is too pathetic despite d huge talents he,s blessed with,,,May God almighty open his floodgates of mercy upon u and d humble family,,,ijn
Maybe the person whose money baba stole to travel to Lagos curse him, because I remember in his story that he was sent to collect money from somebody and after collecting the money, he left for Lagos. The man must have cursed him out of annoyance maybe, that is why we should be very careful of whatsoever we do in this life, I pity him so much. God in His infinite mercy will remove the curse on him in Jesus name
Standard tuning E, B, G, D, A E can be used to play Spanish, Juju, Highlife, Blues, Country, Jazz, R&B and many other genres of music. The use of Capo limits navigation of guitar fretboard. Skillful Lead Guitarists do not use Capo which is okay for some Rhythm Guitarists.
Agbaletu, dat man has God's calling, unless & until he harken to it. He may not get out of his ordeal. Bcs, according to him, he said they seen vision to him, but you cut him short, when he wanted to narrate it. He should go to a spiritual church for cancelling, they will reveal to him hw to over come his plight.
The none Yoruba speaking fan members would be extremely grateful if someone would give a brief description of what happened or what what was supposed to happen. 👍👍👍👍
Let ne correct Mr. Lankua the date that he was talking about played with Ebenezer Obey's band was suppose to be between 1978-1979, because in 1980 Obey music was in high tempo. Pual Tao, Frances Aluko, Abiodun Koleosho, Gabriel Adedeji, Dele. They are all reformed guitarist, Isaac played Hawaiian and Sunday Fadugba play band sets and so on and forth.
Honestly, naija is full of talents and potentials but sadly, many of these talents have wasted away. In a saner society, this man would be giving masterclasses. Today, many guitarists who don't know nothing will be boasting around.
This baba gave a credible answer to my questions. I patiently listened to his words. He is a great Guitarist and full of knowledge. Dr Orlando Owoh moved the world with his style of highlife music as well. Many thanks
This program will run for another hundred years cos this guy called Agbaletu is opening what will open the future. I equally don’t know the meaning of my comment though.
Wow! Please give this man an award oooo
This man is a genius and guitar specialist…..just wondering how he was so comfortable playing all
