That's my game. At 26:30 I was really hoping you would just ignore, but to be honest already at 12:00 I thought this was lost and started playing with a losing mindset and played desperate moves.I did not see that there was a shoulder hit and thought all of the left was already yours, so I tried to invade along sector lines.
Tough game. It’s hard to play a 6d even when they are trying to play like a SDK.
"Everytime you cut a small knight..." ...a pony dies?
Correct
Omg :D
Hey man, just wanted to wish you a great year. You deserve all the good things, take care
Lol called out.
I was saying that specific cut was not obvious to me that it worked because normally with the shape the cutting stone would die to the ladder but it did work because of other stuff in the position.
But yeah I am sure to a Dan player it is obvious.
Are you talking about the upper right corner? That looks like a DDK life and death problem to me. It’s a cut that leaves both groups with only 2 liberties each, against the edge. And DDK should be able to read 2-3 moves deep in a ladder and notice there’s a problem :)
Great stuff as always!
Question - are handicap games not a thing anymore? I remember when I first started playing almost a decade ago I would see handicap games all the time at my local club. Not sure about online play though?
Cause u can juat play same kyu online or in person or from ai to make even game. Back in day real go players was rare I assume and no internet clubs
Dude. Tell me you're not gonna have to pay the entrance fee and stuff for the Congress. ....waiting for you to tell me, then I'll continue on.... okay, good. You'd be the biggest draw there, so, yeah, no way you should have to pay. In 2011 the Congress was here in Santa Barbara and my apartment burnt down the week before.... and I was the cartoonist for the AGA Go Journal... and I got like a scholarship to it. So yeah, no way you pay for that. No f'in way, even without a burnt apartment. Meanwhile, that H2 and upper-right corner situation were more like 25K situations so I think it was just that kind of deal where there's like exhaustion, tiredness, or psychological things going on at the moment rather than core understandings...
Nah, I just make some 25kyu mistakes, also like the T4 and B18 stuff etc.
Tbh the H2 stuff is not obvious to me
I disagree, as much as I love Dwyrin. There was this discussion quite a while ago, where a GM Hans Niemann walked into a tournament and blew up because he did not receive free entry. His claiming he is a GM and deserves respect and will bring attention and yadda yadda.. I just don't think people should get special treatment for being involved in the community. Then others will question why they are paying while others are not, especially when those people are not volunteering to help at the event to warrant free entry.
@@SpiritAnimalGO I believe in rewarding people who help your cause. Especially those who have done more than anyone else for your cause. It's just the right thing to do.
I agree even just from a financial angle. You could make a good case that dwyrin’s presence could induce half a dozen fence sitters to register. And a lot cheaper than bringing a pro from Asia.
To your first question around 02:00: sorting dynamic lists is hard and would impact the already laggy interface of ogs.js
Are making a joke? :)
Sorting a list, even a dynamic one is super easy, barely an inconvenience.
Most complicated Go player in Ohio

divinity original sin is good stuff :)
Giving a 100 point reverse komi to the 9 kyu player would have been more fair.
I think the point is to have some kind of teaching game, not to have a "fair" game
I do have trouble seeing mouse on screen. Maybe make it bigger. Hard to see on phone
@dwyrin i have a question, i know you always look for moves that are produce not only a basic video but also entertainment. But can you do one or two pure basic videos like not to try out ... lets say risky stuff so that we might can see what that would look like? This is really no offense at all don't get me wrong there. Its just for learning purpose.
What risky stuff did i play this game?
@@dwyrin you honestly didn't but i was typing that while watching and mostly often you do it in the middle game or so. As said before there was no offense i enjoy all of your videos.
Gotta play solid NOT slow
What's your timezone?
Yeah, OGS is a nightmare set up.
