Awesome video! Just used this technique over the past few days to finish a 3D printed football trophy head - looks like legitimate metal! Thanks heaps!
Hey, thanks for the video! man, do you also get your eyes irritated when using this spray putty? by reading their safety document for this product, it seems to be very dangerous
Hi Luis ... Well I'm spray painting 99% of the time outside. Less smelly room and it doesn't get into your eyes. But I also wear a protection mask to. If you spray inside the the house it will give a lot of dust particles so you have to clean afterwards. Thanks for the positive feedback. Cheers DB
Ive got to ask, how did you properly slice the part. I attempted using MeshMixer to slice it but without success. Do you the separated parts already or any suggestions? Obviously a FDM printer cannot print this with great quality like yours without slicing various planes and printing the individually like you did. Thank you! love you channel!
@@domboboy1997 I normally used the soft part (so not the screen for scrubbing) because the soft part is platter which prevents too much cleanup in the cracks and seems. I sometimes use the green part if I need a really clean surface without any shoe polish. But don't scrub the paint of of course. :-) The time I leave the shoe polish on is not long. Maybe 10 minutes. If you rub it off too quickly then the effect is let noticable. Good luck ;-) Cheers DB
