  • Muay Thai highlight of muay khao fighter Yodkhunpon Sittraiphum
Yodkhunpol Sittrayphum was a relentless clinch fighter who specialised in elbow strikes. It was due to this particular technical prowess that he earned the nickname "pran sok roi khem" - elbow hunter of 100 stitches.
Yodkhunpon won both Lumpinee and Rajadamnern titles and is considered one of the best of all time by many fans of the sport.

In contrast to how feared was Yodkhunpon in the rings, in his real life he is incredibly humble and gentle.

Back in the old days. My dad told me that, coaches will have to prepare their fighter to be "mentally ready" if one has to fight against Yodkhunpon. He said they are all nervous because the fight will be painful lol

What a terrifying fighter. Wouldn't be surprised if a lot of managers avoided putting their guys against yod. He would've put a lot of guys out of commission for a few weeks at least with all those cuts

      @8limbedwarriornakmuay175 4 ปีที่แล้ว +21

@Leonis Krigorian If we go by scariest then :
Dieselnoi ( no need for introduction ) .
Pohsei Sitibonlert ( he was as tall as Dieselnoi and is considered the second most dominant knee fighter in history .... After Dieselnoi of course , both flight against each other twice with Diesel winning once and a draw ) .
Sukk Prasarthinpimai ( best fighter of the 40S . He is Sagat grandfather/Uncle , he killed someone , was in his late 30s / early 40s and still beat up the best fighter of his time , he is the face in my profile pic ) .
Sakchai "white tiger" Nakpayak ( best fighter of the 50s , i talked with his nephew . kick as hard as Apidej , low kicked a former champion so bad that he was crippled for the rest of his life , was killed by a military bayonet ) .
The youngest brother of the highlander tiger brother clan ( forgot his name ) : He was a Muay Boran fighter , is from the greatest clan of the time ( there was no camp back then , just clan ) .
A Khmer fighter went to Thailand and was invincible and begin having rumor that he was doing black magic and that anyonr who touched him would die . So the Thai called on the highland tiger clan and they chose the youngest of the brother to fight the Khmer .
In the first round both were cautious so nothing happened . On the second the Thai countered his opponent strike with a double uppercut ( move that is featured in human weapons shoe ) to the jaw and then a flying knee , the Thai seeing his opponent on the verge of collapse just rushed him and threw numerous strike including elbow and kick to the neck .
The Khmer fell and was taken to the hospital but it was too late and the Khmer died , this news was so huge that even the French wanted to invade Thailand on pretext that the kingdom it was barbaric .
The year was 1921 and Muay Boran was banned and replaced by wetsen style rounds , gloves , ring , rules , judges , scoring , referee .
Too many Honorable mentions , so I'll just ad the current fighters ( under Muay Thai rules of course ) :
      Tengnueng .
      Muangthai .
      Seksan .
      Wanchalong .
      Rodtang .
      Suakim .
      Yodlekphet .
      Yodsanklai .
      Yodwicha .
      Buakaw .
      Superbon .
      Saiyok .
      Jo Nattuwot .
      Sathamuanglek .
      Rodlek .
      Petpanomrung .

A stroke to the jaw is usually what causes a knockout. Most elbow strikes are to the forehead or temple. That's why they dont usually lead to a knockout. But a well timed elbow on an opponent's jaw will be much more devastating than a punch to the jaw...
