→ How did you install Genshin on your M1 Mac?
• I followed this tutorial: • NEW SIDELOAD METHOD IS...
→ How do you connect a controller to your Mac?
• Heads up: only Macs, iPads, and iPhones currently have controller support in Genshin. Provided you have a bluetooth, MFi controller or something like an official Playstation Dualshock 4/Dualsense, do the following:
1) Turn on pairing mode for your device. If you have a Dualshock 4, press the capture and PS button until the back light panel starts flashing rapidly.
2) Go to system preferences, then bluetooth
3) Select your controller to connect to it.
4) Open up Genshin, go to settings, controls, control type, change from touch to controller.
5) Profit! c:

Bought a 14 inch and was worried about not being able to play Genshin but now I'm so excited!!
This ran much more smoother then my 5 year old asus with a battery that runs out in 1 minute after unplugging and its lifting the trackpad.

The newest Mac's are perfectly capable of playing games, in many cases better than the leading PC gaming notebooks. Currently the titles are not being released for Mac and the ones that are don't use Metal so they have to run through Rosseta. Even having to run through a translation layer games that are native (x86) Mac run very well. If you want to game on your new Mac, make some noise so the titles are updated and new titles can be released for Mac.
x86_64 and ARM are CPU architectures. Metal and OpenGL are graphics APIs. As you may guess, there are many x86_64 games running on Metal, yet they still need to run through Rosetta on Apple Silicon Macs. Supporting Metal or not is actually irrelevant, but the true defining factor of whether the game/program runs through Rosetta or not is if it's x86_64 or ARM

Hey J, nice M1 MBP Max right there, so smooth when you play genshin on high setting. I wonder if I can also play genshin on my M1 Air basic, with low setting of course 😉.
Depends on model and chip.... m1 runs highest graphics not intel
I can play it on all max settings 60 fps. Great Device

How do you install it
i have the same model as you, and it runs perfectly on max settings and 60 fps. to avoid frame drops tho, i'd suggest turning off motion blur entirely.

I play on PC and mobile i prefer Keyboard and mouse controls but I do use a controller too sometimes.

good video! i got my macbook but in spacegrey and i think i made a mistake because the silver looks so much nicer. I had some questions if possible... the keyboard doesn't reflect too much light, it doesn't distract too much? And the mini silver border around the screen, do you notice it when you use it (on the spacegrey as it's grey you don't notice it) good evening and thanks for your answer!

I was going to buy the MacBook air for school (and to play a lil game 😏) but unfortunately, the school that I'm going to now only wants touch screen laptops ): . I'm still sad because I wanted to buy it so bad. Anyways enough of my complaining love you! 💕
it is actually possible to play genshin with an ipad, keyboard and mouse by using settings. there is a tutorial by Kawaii Mee that goes through all of the steps. just for any ipad users wanting to play genshin without a laptop/pc ♡♡

You can dual boot your mac to windows using bootcamp assistant. It'll be a 200% smoother experience.
