Mapping personality types based on fake psychology on to a spectrum based on a faulty simplification of ideology is kind of perfect.
You wanted to tell astrology
It's not fake more as an extremely broad spectrum. Like the E in ENFP stands for extrovert which is only something assigned if you have more than 50% extrovert leaning answers. To place everyone in neat categories is impossible, this isn't neat. It's a broad overlapping system. as an intj who aligns as a leftist, i definitely find myself falling into "well i think we should have more leftist systems in society, all that in theory, but at the end of the day i just want a cabin in the woods where no one will bother me"
lol same, we should be friends or something
..actually let's not
Huh. I'm INTJ, but extremely libertarian. People should be free to do whatever they want as long as they aren't violating the rights of others, or damaging other people's property. People keep wondering when I'm going to move into a cabin in the woods... ;)
Yeah, I also fall into the left side as well due to my personal Fi values, though still closer to center like the rest of IxxJs.
I'm an intj as well but I trend far more to the right and slightly towards auth as well
I am INTJ and right wing. The main thing is Freedom of Speech and Thinking. I don't mind certain Left Wing Economic Systems (Universal Healthcare or other stuff that helps people). I also lean a bit authoritarian because if stupid emotional people started voting for anti-freedom law shit will be bad.
But the main problem I have is with cultural wing. Most SJW type leftists are pure emotional breed. You can't reason with them. And that pisses me off so much it is unreal. I find logic in many economical leftist system but I find no logic in cultural leftism.
It's wild because I'm ENTP and you described exactly how I feel about politics. One time in class even a teacher called me a extremist I was like what because it was literally what you said: a logical idea, considering how people might react. Till this day, I did not understood why she thought the logical way of resolving things was way too extreme.

@@kckasem3360 Only an Ni (introverted intuition) user would think that something can absolutely be known to be safe. My Ne (extroverted intuition) can tell me of a million reasons why it might not be safe in the long run. To name just a few:
1) the RNA might reverse transcribe into DNA (already proven in vitro at least)
2) due to the pseudouridine substitutions it might actually have the opposite effect of ERASING immunity to the spike protein (already demonstrated in the same type of vaccine used for a mouse model of multiple sclerosis)
3) the spike protein itself could be inherently dangerous, and the pseudouridine substitutions could make it produce more than it should
4) the mRNA could leak outside of the muscle and get inside heart cells and brain cells and cause your immune system to attack those (and that’s how myocarditis happens)
5) the proprietary cationic lipids could collect in the fat or the ovaries and cause ovarian cancer for all we know
6) the mRNA could be communicating things in the language of the mRNA microbiome (which we know next to NOTHING about) to our cells which could cause diseases such as cancer for all we know...
And I could go on and on...

I believe another reason why dictators are often thought to be INFJs is because dictators are thought to be people who have grand, specific, idealistic visions for their nation and how they want to lead it(Ni) combined with being charismatic, in touch with their nations' people enough to manipulate them and gain a large following(Fe). FJ said the latter, but not exactly the former.

Great job@@DogSchool_channel, you showed the 'who's boss' commenter commenter who's boss!
I think it's fucking hilarious that being called not special took Greg obviously out of his comfort zone. It's okay to be a bit insecure :)
It was in the context of people being told that their actions are indicative of their personality type, though, and there are two problems with that.
The first is that there is not equal representation across all types, and INFJ is supposedly only present in 2% of the population, and some of that may be due either to self-reporting or deliberate gaming of diagnostic tests. In other words, there is literally a "most special" type.
The second is that MBTI types are completely bunk. Many people exist mostly on the middle point of at least one of the four axes (for example, I fairly consistently test centrist on intro/extro), but moreover, almost everybody swings on at least one, usually at least two, axes (as in, if they take the test again on a different day, or even at a different TIME of day, they will get a different personality type). Labeling people by MBTI types is arguably even more arbitrary than labeling them by their zodiac sign, because at least we know exactly what a person's zodiac sign is (kind of- Assuming we know their birthday and can agree on whether your sign is defined by the season or by the celestial house you were born under, since sidereal drift means that constellations are no longer aligned to the old seasonal astrological system), while MBTI types are not actually _personality types,_ they're _moods._
Thus to get an idea of how ridiculous it is, and how this assertion that someone's behaviour is appropriate to their type (and therefore they're "not special" or whatever agenda you're following) is complete confirmation bias, replace the personality types with emotions. Say a chronically depressed person has a good day; Maybe somebody asks them out and it boosts their confidence, or something, and they take the test. It tells them their personality type is "happy." They go on r/happy and tell the people there that they're not sure if they got the right personality type- Maybe there's been some sort of mistake, because they don't FEEL like they're a generally happy person. They get a flood of replies- "That's normal! A common trait of the happy type is feeling like they don't deserve their happiness!" "That's actually so indicative of the happy type, you're so humble." "Yeah, it's possible the test you took wasn't very good. Maybe instead of happy you're actually enthusiastic or contented." But if that person were to take the test again and again, morning and night, day after day, in general they would tend to get the more depressive types: Sad, angry, defeated, bored. They may not even get any one type more than, say, 15% of the time, but it would be clear that they were NOT generally happy. Yet people who, as Junior Eg puts it, drink the MBTI koolaid will nonetheless see nothing but evidence supporting that this is a happy person talking to them.
Fun fact: Myers and Briggs, a mother-and-daughter team, were not certified doctors or psychologists, and didn't even appear to understand Jung's work (they read his work, and one of them even wrote _erotic fanfic_ about his life, showing the true nature of their obsession, but MBTI has very little to do with Jung's theory of archetypes despite the insistence that it's based directly on the work of Jung). It's complete tripe, right to its origin. At least Myers was a cutie!
@@vitriolicAmaranth damn you comment was interesting. I never thought I'd be interested in zodiac signs until you mention sidereal drift. Never even occurred to me lol.
Also knew that myers briggs was bs but never considered too much why they are lol. Thanks for taking the time to do a big post.
@@vitriolicAmaranth Two disclaimers before I write this: 1) I am aware that mbti is a pseudoscience and am not arguing against that, 2) your post is absolutely correct... but not about mbti.
What you explain in your post seems to be based on 16 Personalities, which is the website that comes up first in most mbti searches. However, 16p is not actually mbti, it's a combination of mbti and big 5: it has 4 simple axes and is a mood typing system, like you said.
The actual mbti theory works differently, typing based on thinking process and how a person perceives and takes in information instead. Cognitive functions are the basis of this theory, 4 of the 8 create a "stacking" which then corresponds to a 4 letter type that represents this (16p using the same 4 letters as mbti is usually why they get confused and grouped together). Because of what a person's mbti type is based upon, it can't change. This doesn't mean a person can't mistype and realize they are a different type than what they originally thought they were, it just means that their type will always be static (whether it is set in stone from birth or a certain point in childhood depends on the source). Another thing to consider is that mbti is a system that needs to be self-typed to be accurate. Meaning, no test can tell a person what type they are. To most accurately tell what type someone is, they have to research mbti and the functions and THEN come up with a type that fits them (there are a huge variety of reasons why a person may mistype, but that's unrelated).
What I'm trying to get across is that your post is based on 16p instead of mbti. I encourage you to look more into the cognitive functions and how they work if you find yourself interested in the subject. Typology is a big passion of mine, and the further you go into it the more complex and interesting it gets.
@@vitriolicAmaranth you're talking about mbti not cognitive functions so make it clear
@@vitriolicAmaranth cognitive functions are a lot more legitimate and have nothing to do with this "mood" thing you're talking about. And you're right myers and briggs don't seem to know about cognitive stacks and the mechanisms behind each type but they did all of this to commercialize it and make money. So if everyone knows that, including you. Whats the point in making this long paragraph describing how its just "moods", and how does that make it tripe to its origins? Jung, who is very well respected and extremely intelligent, is the origin. So the only thing tripe is that long response you gave that really said absolutely nothing.

But also, I completely understand your perspective and fully agree, if that's what you want me to do. No pressure.
I can relate to that. Part of me is triggered, but part of me also appreciates and respects the satire. I mean let's be honest, MBTI is a kind of a weirdo concept that's pretty easy to make fun of. But, it's better than nothing in my opinion. Big Five might be scientific and more accurate, but MBTI is more digestable. Me telling you that I'm also an INFP doesn't tell you everything about me, but it does tell a whole lot.
@@larsthemartian9554 i mean part of why the big five is so accurate is because of how vague it is. imagine how dull, to live your life without any hills to die on, on a vast flat barren plains of compromise, acceptance, and accommodation, while we reign supreme over the lush, rolling highlands of stupid shit we have irrationally chosen to stake our entire identity on

Lawfulness = a right-leaning cone shape fairly close to the central, vertical Authoritarian axis. Disappears at pure anarchy.

The way Jung handled this is interesting because the main difference I see between what he did and what Myers-Briggs is doing is that to him there was a degree of mutual exclusivity to how the functions where differentiated: he did his classic thing where he split thinking, feeling, sensation, and intuition into a crucifix with two set of polar relations. Thinking was defined as antithetical to feeling and were the two rational functions, whereas intuition and sensation opposed each other as the two irrational functions.
A given individual has all four, but only two really matter: the superior function, which defined the conscious activity of the personality and the inferior function which defined the unconscious activity.
The two remaining functions are semi-conscious but are no sufficiently differentiated to have much influence and are subordinated to the superior function.
So under Jung's system, you can't have someone who's intuitive and a feeler at the same time the way Myers-Briggs has it because one would be subordinated to the other in either case.
Similarly, feeling and thinking were defined as judging types, while intuition and sensation were regarded as perceiving types. It would make no sense for someone to be a feeler and a perceiver at the same time.
Jung would most likely attribute any apparent differentiation from this system to be expressive of the weakness of conceptual schema themselves, and i think that's appropriate (not to mention exactly the kind of of think an introverted intuitive would say.) Even if he could make it more accurate, he might abstain from doing so because it would enable psychologists to leave it to the schema rather than engaging with the psychology of the patient and doing the legwork for themselves on a case by case basis.
Wow, thank you for writing about this!! Going to research it more
Best take
You should just hire actors off craigslist to endure you while you go on these unhinged rants, makes for great content.
Very Tim and Eric
Damn I'm so happy that enfp falls all around the compass. I wouldn't know what to do if my personality type didn't match the the ideology that I chose for myself..
Really enjoyed Ed Sheeran's brilliant meta-political analysis "Shape of You"
I love that everything you said about my ideology is wrong but everything about all of the other ones are correct. Perfekt.
Holy shit he actually did it
RIGHT I THOUGHT IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN
I appreciate you keeping Frank out of my left ear
literally was just binge watching both of these dudes and this drops
You're putting frameworks onto frameworks in order to gleam insight. You're literally doing magic.
I love how the colour usually matches
Well, everything about this video was wrong: It's your best work so far!
damn you predicted me spot on. Even my old result fit to my old political stance
Getting compared to the joker was a curveball to say the least. You see jreg, it's not about the 4 letters, it's about their placement on the political compass.
I’ve never seen Frank being around a person other than himself. I thought he was stranded on Mars all by himself.
wow i am entp and im marxist, uuuumm omg im sooo relatable! *stares you in the eyes while last fractals of my already broken soul melt*
So im confused, Im an INTP and it says its "logician" when it should totally read "failure?"
maybe I did something wrong on my test
Get self esteem
emotional damage
you realize this is basicly a hroscope so its just whatever you want it to be. this is based on two jernoulists from the previous century writing a book and everyone kinda rolling with it.
@@nevokrien95 no kidding
now im confused how thats how i felt too despite this test being pseudoscience
My favorite duo let's fucking go
Great job JrEg! You really showed proper green screen keying who's boss!
I feel like I'm supposed to take away no information from this video and that watching it is not only a waste of my time but is actively misinforming me. Leaving it on in the background
the editing made me dissociate so hard i accidentally put this on repeat and watched it for 5 hours straight
im so sorry
Nice on jreg you totally showed those categorical thinkers who‘s boss
omg Mr. Jr. egg we have the same personality type! Nice to see ENSFTPJ representation!
I would really recommend reading "the Righteous Mind" by Jonathan Haidt if you're interested in personality traits, psychology and how it may affect political leanings.
Thanks for the recommendation bro
For real tho? A serious comment under JrEggs video for once?
(But anyway, thanks a lot, Jordan)
Alright, let's pretend i took action right away, just to only be reminded of this in a month or so whenever someone replies. And then I'll read the book
@@TrugoyEveryDay
Hi, I am replying to you to remind the book since it has been 15 minutes.
Get a head start on yourself!!!
You go!!!!
@@acutechicken5798 i was gonna reply cynically like "glad you reminded me to procrastinate", but my withered heart can't cope with so much positive energy. Thank you for the reminder, I'm gonna obtain the book right now
Edit: i now have it in my PDFs for when I've finished reading the other 5 books I've been keeping there for when I start reading again, i will start tomorrow morning. With finishing reading the art of seduction, cause ngl that one got pretty boring half way through but it's a good book. Thank you for bringing the best out in me, I'd buy you a coffee if we weren't complete strangers on the internet
This aggravate me more, then you would think
thank you for the jazzercise and the epic screen transitions
Man, took the test again, INFJ-T here lol they’re really tearing into a whole personality subset.
an alt on that could be “Maaaan!!!! How come I got the Hitler one???”
