More Otis Gen2 installations should be overhead. I like that design far better. It looks like a full traction elevator which was designed to be MRL. It would look even cooler :)

I just went here today, and the padding is gone. I really hate that indicator (on the interior) though, OTIS did a bad job on it.

The machine room is 2 floors. It's on "38" & "39."

Is this an MRL or is the motor in the old machine room? Is this a complete replacement of the original elevator?
The quality of this video seems poor for some reason. I suspect it was caused by the editing software.

upanddownadventures Since it got modernized into a Gen2, the motor is in the motor room. However, it is 100% possible to convert a vintage elevator to MRL alongside preserving the original cab. The old elevator looked ugly anyway. I kind of like this OTIS mod to be honest. series m2 #topfloor

Specialty Elevators & UEE's by Technicalboy3000 It isn't at all. In order to do that, you have to completely rip and tear out the elevator and replace it.
