Please for the love of god do more Robin trower. There isn’t enough on TH-cam and you’ll help put the younger generation on to him. I’d love to see a new lessons on songs no one else has done here on TH-cam his catalog is so good and super deep he’s got over 30 albums out now
@@GuitarMates well regardless thank you for posting this Robin trower is slept on for my generation and those younger I was lucky to hear him growing up and he shaped my childhood and guitar playing! Smile is a great intro riff lots of trower that hasn’t been heard! Thanks again!!
@@Loganblubaugh I dread to think how and what my life would have been like without Robin's music to keep me grounded and exhilarated in equal measure. Islington Town Hall tomorrow 28th May 2024 I'll be there!!
This tune 's opening bars - I got the vinyl on or within days of release in the UK - hooked me as a fan for life, not that you couldn't guess from my YT handle!!!!!! Off to see The Master tomorrow 28th May 2024 work his magic live at the Islington Town Hall...💕💕
Hi Geoff, I believe I like your way the best, just a little different. I play so many different songs that if I don't play something often I don't remember everything to a tee and need to brush up on it, thanks my friend. Peace 🕊️ Geoff
@@GuitarMates You do know that Robin tuned his guitar down either 1/2 note or a whole note, don't you? Don't know when he started or if he still does, assume he does, but he is so far ahead of his contemporaries it ain't funny really.
How you doing? It's funny but I just finished playing this song and you popped up. I play it differently but sounds the same. I was introduced to Trower when he released Bridge of Sighs then found this album and it's just as good as Sighs. Keep rocking.
Hi Douglas, Both are great albums. As I mentioned it was the live album that got me hooked. I have seen alternative ways to play this and I tried a few before I settled on this approach. Thank for the comments. As you say Keep Rocking!
Hi, I just discovered your channel. Love it so far! I'm always looking to learn new songs and master them, therefore expanding my abilities. Subscribed!
Another top job, you really do a broad array of lessons Geoff..I think a good lesson would be Thin Lizzy 'Waiting for an alibi'..amazing intro, powerchords, outro riff/melody and a killer solo from Gorham and the great Gary Moore.
Excellent Composition by Robin Trower and James Dewar . ✨✨✨🎸✨✨✨ Could you play the long guitar solo please ? Could you do Caledonia ? Yngwie Malmsteen acoustic riffs , Gipsy Kings solo riffs by Tonino Baliardo . Great Thank You . I use to e mail with Lisa Dewar . 😊
I'm pretty sure the ICWML composition has been assigned to Robin and Frankie Miller. THIS was the tune whose opening 20 or so bars hooked me as a Trower fan for life.
Hi Dennis, I based what I played on videos I saw of Robin playing the song, but He wasn't in the room with me so not always 100% sure if I am correct. At the end of the day if what you play sounds right then I wouldn't worry.
Great job! Very strong teaching skills!
Glad you think so! Thanks for the comment much appreciated.
Robin Trower: Accept no substitutes! Nice job on this one, mate... thanks!
Hi Eddie, thanks. Glad you liked it!
Thank you, love trower

I have plans for more, but my teaching schedule does slow the process down. Lets see how things go.

Thanks for commenting, I try to play as close as I can get it but until I have a private lesson with the master, this will have to do.
Fantastic, thank you!!!
Glad you liked it!
Ahh, Robin Trower, whose style is so recognisable, flanger/phaser Fender, slightly influenced by Jimi Hendrix ❤
Totally agree, would love to do more but he is so hard to copy.

Your right, I should do some more Thin Lizzy. It feels good to other artists song. Especially songs I learned when I was younger.
Please, PLEASE, do "Beyond the Mist"😮😊
Hi Rodger, I will see what I can do.
GREAT call, roger !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you using a deja vibe
Hi Ley, No I actually used the univibe in Amplitube 5 to get close to the sound I heard.

Can u do a lesson on ( too rolling stoned ) that one is a belting tune 🤘🤘
Hi Phili, that is on my to do list but probably just look at the rhythm guitar, doing the lead would take a monumental effort.
@@GuitarMates cool man been searching for a lesson on it for like forever it's a absolute masterpiece of a tune 🤘
👍👍👀
Hope you enjoy!
so I have been playing this wrong for years, I play what I see and hear on live concert footage, oh well, live and learn 😢

Thanks for that.
