More Friendly Than SCP-999? - SCP-6330 - Guardians of the Innocent

  • SCP 6330 is an Esoteric Class anomaly with a Secondary Class of Uncontained also known as Guardians of the Innocent .
    SCP-6330 is a phenomenon affecting stuffed animals worldwide, though is most common in teddy bears. Manifestation of this phenomenon is referred to as a Sleepwalker Event.
    Events begin by the manifestation of entities referred to as SCP6330 -2. These creatures typically blend with shadows (though this mechanism is poorly understood) and somewhat resemble creatures associated with fantasy, such as dragons or ogres, and always manifest beneath a child’s bed.
    SCP-6330-1 have been shown to instantaneously manifest small wooden medieval2 weaponry in order to combat SCP-6330-2, and assumably to protect the child. Battles have been shown to last upwards of 20 minutes, and are always near silent.

    Fun fact: The Foundation has to deal with SCP-6852, creatures that love to slaughter children in the dark of the night. In order to deal with them, they created Build-A-Bear Workshop, which serves the purpose of making children build artificial copies of SCP-6330-1 in order to prevent the 6852 instances from claiming any more lives.

    • @doctorbright1065
      @doctorbright1065 ปีที่แล้ว +72

      And it seems to have paid off wonderfully. After our collaboration with Nintendo, we discovered many instances where the battles resulted in minor scorch marks left behind by plush Charizard and Pikachu.

      Minor correction: SCP-6852-1 instances are what the Foundation has the Build-A-Bear Workshop create and send out to protect children vs SCP-6852. SCP-6852-1 are *manufactured copies* of SCP-6330, and don't work as well as the original 6330 (there's also some reports that the Foundation uses the energy of 6852's child victims to power up up new toys to make them stronger).
      SCP-6330 is a phenomenon on its own that the Foundation has no control over.

    6330 is most likely a friendly pooka or manifested guardian spirit. It should also be noted that 6330-2 does not appear if there is a dog or cat in the household. Apparently the pets, especially mid sized dogs, terrify any instance of scp-6330-2 into complete retreat or they simply do not manifest under the bed of any child in the household. In other words, best doggo and Kitty always win!

      I was just thinking the same thing! There’s too many similarities at this point to not question wether SCP-6330-2 instances are actually the “others” that SCP3887-B referenced in their interview. The eating of socks, the appearing underneath children’s beds, the fact they don’t want to be seen by people that aren’t their prey naturally. I hope there’s an investigation into these similarities taking place at the Foundation. I would imagine finding out one SCP you have is actually connected to another makes data management a lot easier in the long-run

    I remember this story. It came out several years ago and even has a little animation of the teddy fighting an orc. It was an idea before it became an SCP. I wonder if the original creator decided to go and turn it into one. This is by far one of the most wholesome and benevolent SCP's out there and I absolutely love it.

    Made me think of the teddy bear I had that I lost. He always moved around the room, "going for walks" I would call it, I'd always worry he'd not come back or he hated me. As an Adult I know he probably got thrown across the room. I still miss him as weird as that may be, hope someone found him, and loves him as much as I do

  • @derskalde4973
    @derskalde4973 ปีที่แล้ว +23

    And they don't necessarily stop. I am an adult, and I still have a small army of stuffed animals staying at my side while I sleep. They kinda act as my own reality anchors. I'm very protected. I still feel like toys and other objects having their own form of being alive, and I am always saddened when something has to be thrown away.
    They are a bulwark against the Terrors of the Night.
    They are the defenders of children.
    They are phantasmal knights.
    And they shall know no fear.
