Some nice landings in there bro. Got rudely awoken at half 5 this morning with a 5.1 earthquake about 20kms away, it was only 7 kms deep so gave us a good shake. Nothing broken or anything just a good shake. Safe travels
Yep there are quakes 24/7 here in NZ but not all are felt. Fault lines all across the country and this one was right on one, a couple run almost under our town but this one was at the foot of the ranges to my east and there is hot mineral springs along it. 5 minutes to the hot mineral pools and motor camp from here. The town where the quake was has it's own hot mineral pools about 20 minutes away.
The B-17 with the H on the tail was my Dad's outfit, the 388th based at Knetishal. I am sure the spelling is incorrect but that is how he pronounced it. He flew 26 missions.
This aircraft was designed to be a replica of the 388th as my father (the owner) is a member of the 388th memorial group. We live very close to the airfield and decided to honour those who flew from that airfield. This model actually flies from the main runway of the airfield, the same one as the full-size did. I hope you like the model and I hope that you find it to be a nice memorial to those of the 388th Alex & James Ladell

AWESOME!! Just simply beautiful aircraft. Amazing landings. Love, Love, Love the B-17's. DC-3 and Lancaster. Broncos looked brilliant!
