Anita is one of the GOATs of sweet soul. There was a ten-year stretch between 1986 and 1995 when her fame rivaled that of Janet Jackson and Tina Turner. She's definitely someone worth exploring. "Caught Up in the Rapture" is one of her biggest songs, as is "Giving You the Best That I Got", "Just Because", "Talk to Me", and "Body and Soul". The pride of Toledo, Ohio!

Anita Baker is one of the best Contralto singers of our time. Simply speaking she is a diamond. Technically a Contralto's voice . the range of a low female voice between mezzo-soprano and tenor, usually from about the first F below middle C to the second F above; alto. The rarest form of singer!! She is in a class by herself! . So happy you listened and this is just a sample of all the Greatest Anita Baker have to the music industry ♥️

Rapture was one of the greatest R&B albums ever! I wore out 2 cassettes in it's day. I've been requesting you react to Anita for a while. So glad you gave her a listen.

I loooove this song and Anita Baker! She sounds like an older woman but she’s in her late 20’s here!! She’s amazing. Toni Braxton was greatly influenced by her. You can clearly tell. I highly suggest looking up her live performances on here/YT. Unreal. Love Anita!!! 💕👍🏼
