Sade Adu is the singer and Sade is actually the band. They write the majority of their own material, and have been together for forty years. Saw them back in the early 90s at Roy Thompson Hall here in Toronto and it was the perfect evening. I would take her smooth and emotional voice over her contemporaries who performed vocal gymnastics for no real reasons. They record rarely, tour even less, but I recommend them to anyone.

Sade is so Incredible/111 So Smooth....so sensuous.....so Jazzy!!! Se is defifintely one of my all-time favorite female singers along with Anita Baker because both embody Smooth Jazz and Acid Jazz which many viewers and people in the public don't listen to because every song is fast and all about the groove.....they sing jazz stlye which all about "the vibe."
