Om, saya bener2 salut dgn anda, saya aja yg pake bahan dan tools pabrikan menengah atas rasanya cukup agak sulit untuk mengejar pertumbuhan tanaman anda... hebat om. Sebenernya byk pertanyaan dikepala saya, smoga anda berkenan menjawab beberapa pertanyaan saja, krn jujur saja saya penasaran, berhubung saya di Bandung jd rasanya sulit untuk bertemu berbincang langsung apalagi melihat tanknya secara langsung.
1. Brp nilai PH, Dgh dan Dkh airnya?
2. Bahan dasar membuat pukdas / soilnya, apabila memang rahasia dan dikomersilkan, dimana saya dpt membelinya?
3. Anda sengaja tidak menginject CO2 atau bagaimana? Saya penasaran gimana jadinya tank sesehat itu kalau di inject dgn CO2, yg secara teori hasilnya pasti akan lebih bagus lagi.

Yes everyone would like to know the secret of the DIY soil, me included - guy must be planning to write a book (I would keep it secret too in that case). Its certainly an interesting substrate. My guess is its
1) some sort of potting mix or garden soil (there are thousands of varieties of soil, so its anyone's guess what that is) as a base. I notice not too much to limit the organics/fertiliser in the tank.
2) alot of washed volcanic sand as a covering to keep the water clean.
3) somehow charcoal or burnt wood is incorporated (maybe mixed with the sand before adding?)
The charcoal bit is interesting. I am experimenting with many soils and muds and haven't tried that yet. Volcanic sand I have no access to but maybe it contains some sort of nutrients too, don't know.
Its a cool tank and very effective at growing plants.
