this is wonderful! I think the only modification I'd make, is that I'd put the veggies separate from the rice and meat. that way they don't get soggy in the microwave.
Dude, this looks so good. I've been meal prepping every week for the past year and I've been looking for more Asian inspired meal preps. Going to try making this over the weekend. Subbed!
looks deliciouos!! i would want the rice and port warmed up so i prob would put the "salad" components in a dif container so they dont wilt in the microwave
Looks amazing. I will definitely try it. What knife do you use? Can you teach us how to make that pickled daikon and carrot garnish most Vietnamese restaurants serve?
I got you, for the pickled vegs: th-cam.com/video/utbP2hPjWVU/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=feedthepudge As for my knife, I use a carbon steel knife from Steelport Co
Thanks!! Ill try this with chicken as we don't eat pork. Also, try using Monk fruit sweetener instead of sugar and definitely healthier as it doesn't spike insulin and definitely has substituted sugar
@@AdventuresOfChrisAndJane i have a vietnamese chicken meal prep recipe dropping next week 👀, but this marinade is great with any protein! certainly some easy subs out for a healthier option!
My new year's resolution is to only drink during holidays and the weekends. I used to drink every single day for 7 years and it's made me gain 40lbs. I need to lose 30lbs to be normal for my height. This is gonna be rough. But I gotta keep replacing my drink cravings with hot tea. That's been working for me so far. :)
cant deep freeze it i think? How long does it survive max is it 2 days or 3? Probably can go 4+ if frozen maybe idk? store the veggies in separate containers in the fridge?
Yes! This is the first episode of Vietnamese inspired meal preps - will be doing a new recipe every Monday! Before microwaving, I remove the veggies and nuoc cham, and in my microwave, it heats up in about a minute and a half!
Maybe just a little more - but what you can also do is just broil the pork chops on high heat for a little bit right at the very end to allow those sugars to caramelize and give it a more appealing look!
Hi Ken, I have everything, down to the container but no pork chops! I have to make this soon. Wishing you a healthy, successful New year! My promise to you is that I will get you more subscribers because you are that GOOD! You are welcome! Lol
Thanks Ann, time to get some chops, but this recipe also works with any protein of your choosing! I'm manifesting a ton of growth on YT this year for myself too!

I was literally thinking the same thing 😂
yup i pull the veggies out before microwaving! putting it in a baggie def makes it easier
awesome recipe man. simple and yummy!
That looks like my favorite rice plate. All i need is a fried egg. Definitely going to try this one out!
Lmk how it turns out!

absolutely!
It looks delicious! For a Vietnamese cooking tip, I would add condensed milk instead of honey for a savory taste.
Thanks for sharing ! ❤
Yeh cucumbers tax! For doggy my shih Tzu has to get one too everytime he hears me cutting them 😂

Appreciate you my guy. I told myself I was going to commit to a dry January, but have already failed on several occasions only a week into it LOL

I'm new to using lemongrass. I can never get it to break down and the chew is always off 😅
let the food processor do the work for you!
I find frozen chopped lemongrass has a nice texture. Check the frozen section of an asian grocer if you have one nearby!

3-4 days max, if longer, i would just freeze the cooked pork chops separately, and then assembly the bowls later
How long to microwave it for? Can you do more meal preps for Vietnamese food? Definitely making this to bring to bring to work.

Your pork always looks soooo good, I think I need to use more sugar. Thanks so much for sharing!
