nice job man!!!!!!! i have the older version of that rod and its 🔥. mine is the 6'4 light and i have a shimano mirveal 1000 and 6lb fluro on it. the countdown 55 and 75 are my go to's! keep up the amazing videos!!!!!
@@craigleith100my man!!! 🔥🔥 it’s a 2000 size shimano vanford. Such a smooth real. I’m still using it today! Its price runs from $200-$250 USD depending on sales!
@@fishkrazed Thanks m8 I recently had a Shimano Scierra inexpensive but still a very good reel I’ll be hoping for a new reel for Christmas I want to try winter fishing for pike & perch so my 5ft6 UL rod & size 1000 reel I used for wild browns needs a big brother for bigger waters & fish 😁 take it easy and Tight lines 😉 ✌🏼💙🎣🏴🤷🏼♂️
what state were you fishing in? those were some beautiful 'bows & browns. jerk baits have been my goto's for a long time now.i'm never on a trout stream w/o Rapalas in my bag.
@@fishkrazed after watching your video i got on the Rapala website to order some of Elites and a few others. like i don't have enough, but i didn't have any of the Elites!...
I’m going to be making a video on the setup I’m using now soon, however this is what I’m using! St. Croix trout series rod, 6’9 medium light. Paired with a 2000 size shimano vanford spooled with 8lb Pline tactical fluorocarbon. 🔥🔥
Yessir! I prefer the 55 size. It has a slower sink rate which works better for my shallow creeks and rivers. I’m going to get some of the 75 size though for bigger water!
I used the 55 in brown trout color and get some nice ones, I just got the rapala countdown sinking 2inch brook trout pattern and landed a 22.5 inch brown
Please take this video down. It goes against community standards. Basically, ive been trying to keep these jerkbaits a secret all year. Your taking away my advantage and thats just not cool. They are awesome, huh
There's no such thing as secret. I've been using all kinds of jerk baits- Rapalas, Megabass greathunting, Bassday, daiwa, jackals, Dynamic lures, Creep AIM series, and especially Duo Spearhead Ryuki!
Thanks for taking me fishing with you, nice fish.
Thanks man. Cant wait for the next trip!

I appreciate that, glad to have you here! 🙏🏼
That's a really nice rod & reel set up! Yes Shemano's deftly the best.

Just about every video I post is from WV or PA. Beautiful fish for sure! And I’m the same, I’ll never fish without my jerkbaits!

@@surfandstreamfisher5749 I still love those elites. I’ve been using a few others but man those countdowns get chewed!
Would you please be so kind and tell me what rod / reel and line you were using?
Great video, wonderful river. Would love to fish there too 🎣👍

What size of the Rapala lure have you been using?
The smallest one?
Color: GILDED BROWN TROUT (GDBT)?
Thanks 🎣

You should try a megabass x-nanahan 75. It’s a great suspending jerkbait that I like for trout.
I’ll check them out now. I’m actually going to post about wanting to do a series using baits you guys recommend!
Are you based out of wv
Yessir! Currently living up north.

LOL. They are excellent baits!!
lol. No one really uses these for trout fishing. It’s awesome. Been using these and micro Jdm jerk baits for years.
Jerkbaits definitely have a place in the trout fishing world. People who don’t use them every now and then are missing out!
What river and state are you fishing in? Beautiful first fish!
