January 3 trump called for them to send 100000 nationals guard members because it was planned to be a a lot protest that day. but the District of Columbia mayor decided that not that many weren’t needed so that’s out of trumps hands and Nancy was the sergeant in arm of the capitol in charge of making sure it was enough staff. they had over 3000 protesters and only deployed only 350 national guard members. Meanwhile the National Guard says Trump made no request, but there is record of him stating they might need to call them in a day before. Nancy Pelosi also doesn’t have authority of the National Guard, look at her title and what she’s in charge of, that’s a silly argument to make and has been debunked thousands of times. I'm guilty too as a Trump-Biden voter for mistakingly voting for him in 2016, but I don't know why you stuck with Trump in 2020 after his disastrous covid response. While Taiwan was implementing contact tracing, encouraging masks, etc, Trump said it would be gone by April & he was downplaying and minimizing it the entire time. For people that live solely in America, it's not obvious how disastrous his response was. But since you lived Taiwan, I don't know why his reckless negligence didn't register with you in 2020. I used to be a Liberal "Democrat" for years because I like "Green Environment" and believe in "Global Warming", but against "2nd Amendment" that people own guns. The things bothered me is why people labeled "Democrat" as "Left Wing" and "communist tendency". I'm a Taiwanese-American, and definitely NOT a Communist. First off, the ‘Right Wing’ and ‘Left Wing’ terms come from French political history where one side of the debate sat on the left and the other on the right. This has developed into today’s system to gauge one’s political position. Democrats are coined as left-leaning and Republicans are coined as right-leaning. Independents generally can be found in the center, or the extremest will be in the far right/left. The term “Communist” gets thrown around way too loosely in American politics as a way of mudslinging or fear-mongering - no party can even resemble a communist regime in their policies or actions. Democrats tend to promote more social programs (healthcare, welfare, etc.) and a larger Federal Government. Republicans use this as fodder for attack and maliciously slander the Democratic Party by comparing them to a communist party. Communism although is very different and the current Democratic agenda is far from being communist and even fighting against communism. In short, it’s used for slander and mudslinging. Neither the Republican Party nor the Democratic Party resembles or aspire to become communist.

以前早期的亞洲移民其實大部分是支持民主黨的，因為拿到綠卡容易，而且感覺很多福利，而當時的雷根對亞洲也不是特別的友善。更重要的是，那時候的亞洲移民薪水都很低，所以非常贊成民主黨的劫富濟貧。再加上以前那一個年代，移民的父母親們都想來美國。來了美國有吃有喝有福利，甚至還有免費的房子住和醫療保險，卻從來沒有在美國工作一天。這三個原因是以前的移民會比較支持民主黨的原因。
現在這十幾20年已經大部分的人轉變成支持共和黨，主要可能就是兩件事情。第一件就是大家歷經千辛萬苦，好不容易拿到工作簽證，又兢兢業業的好多年等到了綠卡，終於獲得自由身的感覺，但是民主黨卻隨隨便便輕而易舉的就讓一大堆的非法移民拿到綠卡。第二件事情也是因為亞洲移民的職位比以前的年代普遍高太多了，薪水也站上中位數以上，所以很不能夠接受民主黨動不動就拿繳稅人的錢去到處灑錢，然後養一堆不想工作的人。

January 3 trump called for them to send 100000 nationals guard members because it was planned to be a a lot protest that day. but the District of Columbia mayor decided that not that many weren’t needed so that’s out of trumps hands and Nancy was the sergeant in arm of the capitol in charge of making sure it was enough staff. they had over 3000 protesters and only deployed only 350 national guard members. Knowing they only had about 1900 police officers. January 6 is on Nancy not trump. She’s said it herself I can gmail you the clip I’m referring to.
Meanwhile the National Guard says Trump made no request, but there is record of him stating they might need to call them in a day before. Nancy Pelosi also doesn’t have authority of the National Guard, look at her title and what she’s in charge of, that’s a silly argument to make and has been debunked thousands of times.
There is a lot of odd information flying around, but at the end of the day just ask yourself, when the riot was in full blast, why didn’t Trump call for it to stop?

While Taiwan was implementing contact tracing, encouraging masks, etc, Trump said it would be gone by April & he was downplaying and minimizing it the entire time.
For people that live solely in America, it's not obvious how disastrous his response was. But since you lived Taiwan, I don't know why his reckless negligence didn't register with you in 2020. The way Taiwan handled it & the way Trump didn't handle it couldn't have been any more different.

Logan, I have a question regarding to U.S. political parties. I used to be a Liberal "Democrat" for years because I like "Green Environment" and believe in "Global Warming", but against "2nd Amendment" that people own guns. The things bothered me is why people labeled "Democrat" as "Left Wing" and "communist tendency". I'm a Taiwanese-American, and definitely NOT a Communist. This bothered me for years that Democrat belong to "Left Wing" and has communist tendency. I know CCP 3 yr Great Famine, a decade of Cultural Revolution, Tienanmen Square massacre, Organ Harvesting, Hong Kong National Law, ... and other atrocities. CCP brainwashed Chinese people since young, Firewall to prevent Chinese people to know the outside world. I legally emigrated to the USA in 1980 when Jimmy Carter abandoned Taiwan and established diplomatic relationship with China. CCP sober-rattling threatened Taiwan in daily basis. I definitely NOT a communist, don't like people label Democrat as communist. Why "Republican" is Right Wing? Please explain to me. Thank you, Logan.
First off, the ‘Right Wing’ and ‘Left Wing’ terms come from French political history where one side of the debate sat on the left and the other on the right. This has developed into today’s system to gauge one’s political position. Democrats are coined as left-leaning and Republicans are coined as right-leaning. Independents generally can be found in the center, or the extremest will be in the far right/left.
The term “Communist” gets thrown around way too loosely in American politics as a way of mudslinging or fear-mongering - no party can even resemble a communist regime in their policies or actions.
Democrats tend to promote more social programs (healthcare, welfare, etc.) and a larger Federal Government. Republicans use this as fodder for attack and maliciously slander the Democratic Party by comparing them to a communist party. Communism although is very different and the current Democratic agenda is far from being communist and even fighting against communism.
In short, it’s used for slander and mudslinging. Neither the Republican Party nor the Democratic Party resembles or aspire to become communist.

謝謝你以美國人一方的立場來說明，這個對台灣人或者對全世界，現在還霧裡看花的事件，做一個比較有系統的報導；我當時因為媒體，還有一些網路流傳的影片，也一直認為美國選舉舞弊的事情是真的，雖然看了你的報導，我仍然也無法抹去心中這種想法，雖然我知道，現在的科技，在影片造假這件事情上，其實很容易做到，再加上社群媒體同溫層（演算法）的現象，彼此互相洗腦是是很容易的事情。
所以最後只能回歸，美國司法制度是否值得信賴？如果這一點是OK的，那我們就一切尊重司法，不然最後民主制度就淪為暴民政治了。

再來，川普這人就是嘴巴壞，有時詞彙很嚇人，假設這個“保護法”不是真的全都是付給美國呢？
如果是要求台灣要多買武器呢？依照台灣現況，我們應該要巴不得美國讓我們多買吧！
最好隨便我們挑選，買到我們開心不是嗎？
我退到最差的情況來說，假設真的就是保護費，每年多少錢，
在台灣一堆年輕人跟恐龍父母吵說不要戰爭的情況來看，
每年花錢讓美國艦隊在台灣附近閒晃換中共不敢隨便動手，
再怎麼算，都比戰爭的代價低吧？
更別說如果成天台灣有美國艦隊在附近閒晃，能給外資多少安全感，
能給台灣吸引更多投資，讓台灣經濟更上一層樓，這個保護費用也蠻值的！

Thanks for the input, actually I mentioned in this video how I don’t think he would be a dictator. During that time I highlighted that that rhetoric was used by the left and why they are saying, then switched, as shown on the top right of the video, to my own view as to why I don’t think he would be a dictator.

川普的國會暴動案讓我想到德國1923年的啤酒館事件，當然這只是我個人想法，畢竟英明神武的川普是不容置疑的，講到美國選舉舞弊的爭議，在被歐洲及美國評價盛高的台灣選舉制度在2024大選也是有相關的爭議出現，類似的懷疑手法和舞弊疑慮都有在各大社群媒體受到討論，而我想簡單說，每一個立場在看待議題的切入角度不同，每個理論都有它的優避性，但是如果因為爭議而產生對國家和制度的不信任，對任何立場及國家本身都是極大的危險，美國如此，台灣也是亦然，台灣和美國最偉大的就是先賢的立憲精神和制度追求，一旦我們放棄或漠視了，那就什麼都沒有了，也謝謝小飛製作這期影片讓我們了解相關議題。
