Take this kind of stuff and layer it into other samples. A good portion of the time you can gst really full sounding drums when you layer weird sounds ontop of eachother
wow amazing. I have no idea what he just did but boy do I feel inspired to go into fl studio and fuck around for 50 minutes to end up making nothing of value

grain delay, phaser-flanger, (you can use operator or a click/snare/any other kit sound), drum buss. 👍?

Pretty much how I always thought these sounds are made. Short delay bing clank
i use valhalla supermassive, put it on the drum track and put it on lyra mode, then just fuck around with the knobs til something cool comes out
supermassive is goated bruh
Slap supermassive on a melody instrument 100% wet, and now you have a pad lol
karplus strong synthesis is another good technique for these sounds, as well as FM synthesis.
I've been looking for this video for a couple years

yooo im the person who asked for the umru snare tutorial lets gooo someone uploaded it i been lookin
Solid tips.
Thank you!
kind of what Karplus Strong synthesis is based on, right? Super short delay w lots of feedback?
exactly. using comb filters with this technique is loads of fun.
@@garthvader4269 remember, comb filters are actually identical to delays, thy just usually allow you to set much shorter, often pitched delay times.
@@KnzoVortex so a comb filter is actually delaying the signal? didn't know that, i just thought it was resonances

lol that’s so cool tho

I wonder how SOPHIE did it, it's insane that the metallic sounds she produced were never sampled.
Shw used FM, flangers and delays mostly
wow sophie and bayo, my two true loves in one place
She used a Monomachine look them up they’re so cool but very expensive now because the company Elektron who produced them stopped manufacturing them
