[rapidKL] Mitfahrt/ride Monorail Kuala Lumpur

Riding rapidKL MONORAIL in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from Titiwangsa to KL Sentral
The KL Monorail is operated by rapidKL and leads a total of 8.6 kilometers through downtown Kuala Lumpur. The monorail serves 11 stations from the northern terminus Titiwangsa to the central station KL Sentral.
The track was opened in August 2003 and initially only used with short two-cars-trains. Later, higher-capacity four-car trains were procured, replacing the old two-car trains one after the other.
When traveling with the monorail you can discover numerous attractions of Kuala Lumpur. Starting with the Palace of Culture and several major shopping centers. The skyline of KL features the Petronas Towers and the Menara TV-Tower.
The Berjaya Times Square Shopping Center is also located on the Monorail, known for its roller coaster that runs through the shopping center inside.
The Masjid Al-Bukhary Mosque and the Merdeka Stadium, which can accommodate up to 40,000 people, are also right on the track.
Parallel to the River Klang, the route then finally leads to the city's main train station, KL Sentral.

Sieht das nur so aus oder ist die Fahrt in der Monorail wirklich so holperig?

Das ist in der Tat schon deutlich holpriger als in einer normalen U-Bahn oder so.
Das Problem ist halt, dass die Monorail mit Gummirädern auf der Betonschiene läuft und nicht wie sonstige Eisenbahnen mit Stahlrädern auf Stahlschienen.

Nein, die fahren ganz normal nach Signal.

Ja, das nennt sich ETCS Level 1 :D - das ist ETCS mit signalen Quasi. das ETCS auf SFS ohne Signale ist Level 2. Hab mal gegooglet und laut Wikipedia wurden die Bahnen 2011 damit ausgestattet (Angeblich wäre ohne ETCS auch kein 4-Wagenbetrieb möglich) den Verdacht haben bei mir die Tachoanzeigen und Warngeräusche erweckt. ;)

Level 1 soll in DE dann auch in Zukunft nach und nach PZB ersetzen (Die Zugsicherung wird seit neuestem in DE auch ESG - ETCS Signalgeführt - genannt) so wie es in der Schweiz zB auch schon weitgehend mit ZUB passiert ist.
