Kobe is so handsome. You’re so wonderful w him! We have two 15 month Vizslas. They plateaued at 65 lbs. They play all day together which has helped w energy and 3 walks. One had suckled his stuffed baby until a month ago but still sleeps w it. They love the snow. Inside I use cups and hide a treat for them to find it. Also for one of their feeds, I bunch up a kitchen towel and hide his food in it so he would have to find the kibble through folds. Good brain stimulation and the feed lasts a lil longer. God bless ur fur baby and family...

I've had Vizslas all my life - my parents in fact were foundation stock in getting them recognized by the AKC back in the 1950's! I've never had a Vizsla suckle on a toy but I've def had them pull off the eyes!! I love your videos and thank you for taking such great care of Kobe!

my same-aged vizsla loves those big stuffed dolls.Adorable running around, flipping it up in the air. Takes her an hour to rip them to shreds. Hour 2: eats the stuffing. So sweet, she comes to be close to me when she needs to whoops up that fake cotton

Our late vizsla ruby didn't do the sucking on anything but she always wanted to be covered with a blanket when it was cold, our pug blaze always does the sucking on his blanket before he goes to sleep. Kobe is so beautiful, and getting so big 😁

Congratulations on your new addition. It's a great feeling to be days away from picking up your pup. I know the feeling. First couple weeks ore crucial to break your puppy in with potty training and getting them comfortable in their new home. Biggest tip is take two weeks off if possible of course. It's OK to let them wine first couple nights. It will get better. Try to get some sleep during the day before you pick up puppy because first nights the worst they wake up many times. Consistency is key. They are super smart pups. They learn very fast. You will do fine. It only gets easier as time goes 😁

“Any tips for first time vizsla owners?”
      -...good luck lol.
They’re exhausting when they’re young, but 100% worth it.
Vizslas are incredible dogs, but oh man, they a LOT of work. Plenty of exercise is key to keep their busy little minds/bodies occupied. Training is a big one too-they love having a task, and keeping them focused will help dissipate some of the access energy. Also, their tummies tend to be on the sensitive side, so keep that in mind when trying to find the right diet for them.
Your vizsla will bring so much joy, love, and laughter into your life, that is a guarantee!! Best wishes to you and your new little brown pupper!
      ❤️

    Hi
Picked up our vizsla dog on Saturday.
At night we put him to bed in a basket which is in a crate in the lounge.
Every hour or so he shouts and howls. Each time I come down I let him out into the yard and he has a pee or poo. So I can’t really complain as he is asking to go out. Any tips on how to lengthen the time between him wanting to get out or is this normal at 8 weeks.
He spends sometime in the day resting in the crate and I feed him in the crate.
Bit of a quandary. He is happy in crate and I want that to continue. Don’t want to leave him howling to come out and he then makes a mistake by peeing in the crate

    • @kobethevizsla157
      @kobethevizsla157  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Congratulations on you new puppy. Usually after every nap they have to go out. As they get older the time lengthens. Just have to keep a close eye on him if he starts sniffing the ground in the house going around circles he has to go. I put a bell on my door and every time I took him out I will ring bell with his paw. By two weeks he was ringing bell when he wanted to go out. The first week they will howl another because they don't want to be alone. But sometimes just have to let them howl. As time passes they stop. But sound like you are doing a good job with the crate. Making the crate a happy place for them is key.

I've seen a few breeds do the sucking or whatever they are doing. I noticed a lot of the gun dog breeds do it and I wonder if it's from being bred to retrieve and use their mouths. That dog does not look full chihuahua to me, the head especially is off for them. My guess is a bit of terrier mixed in but not sure.

    • @kobethevizsla157

It could be. I've never seen a dog do it til I got Kobe.
